Great pizzeria! I highly recommend the margherita here. Everything is made here, and you can taste the authentic Italian ingredients in the food.

The crust is perfect IMO. A nice char and evenly cooked because the pizzaiolo knows to work the oven. The crust has fantastic chewiness that to me is the hallmark of quality workmanship. The tomato was tangy and light. All the ingredients were in proper amounts. I may have finally found my pizzeria.

This place belongs in the top pizza places in DC Area. Because these reasons:

First: I love margarita classic pizza, I venture to all the top spots on the list in this area and any town I visit but this is the closest replication to ones in Napoli, I went to Italy and I make my own pizzas I can tell you this is magnificent margarita pizza I close my eyes I think I'm back in Italy.

Second: service is fantastic! there are a lot of places I won't say the name but they have good margarita pizza but it's followed by terrible service and crowded tiny spot and nowhere to sit down, this place has plenty of space, great tentative service and manager is super nice he sold me the sauce so I can try it on my own homemade pizza.

Third: I don't rate things ever, even when it's great but this place I really wanted to share my thoughts because they do deserve to be on the list of top places keep up the great work, I'll be back for sure!

This is one of the best pizza places I have been in the area. They have a truly Italian flavor. We will definitely recommend this place to all pizza lovers!

Stopped here on our way back from wineries in MD, at the suggestion of friends. This is not a sit down-order place; you have to stand in line and order at the counter, then wait for your food to be brought to your table (they give you a number). Their pizzas are really good (I had the Quattro Formagio with double pepperoni, extra crispy). Their drinks are not unlimited fountain (a standard these days), what you get is a can for $1.75, so they are on the expensive side. The place was too warm the day we went, I guess the A/C was struggling with the 95F weather outside.

Overall a good pizza place; would definitely reccomend.

Ordered for office lunch in McLean. Order arrived an hour late. Hate grubhub for late delivery. Pizza's arrived cold but were delicious. Will try it in store next time.

The pizza here is authentic! The crust is just the right chewy! The manager walked around and asked it we were happy and if he pizza turned out as we wanted. One of the very best brick oven pizzas in Tyson's.

  • *****

The pizza is authentic neapolitan and very good. Service is good, too. Clean restaurant and cozy.

  • *****

Amazing pizza, it's authentic, sauce tastes amazing, and the cheese is fresh. I could eat this every single day. It's very light and there is a variety of options on the menu.

  • *****

Legit, quick. Best pizza in Tyson's. Atmosphere is a little sterile, but some people like that. Almost has a 5 Guys feel with the ingredients on display.

  • *****

This is one of the three best pizzas in the whole of the Metropolitan. Area I travel Italy extensively and their pizza is a true Neapolitan recreation
You will not be disappointed. If you are with in 30 minuets of their shop you must experience their superb food. It is also well priced with excellent eating/restaurant area.

Great authentic Neopolitan pizza from a NYC girl partially raised in Abruzzi. Crust as it should be is to die for. All sides, salads, pastas, sandwiches are all fresh and delicious. Flavor is 100% on point. Venue has a nice ambiance, is super clean, welcoming and comfortable - just as much for groups as an intimate first date. Wine selection is impressive for an establishment of this size and prices are reasonable across the board. Tantissimi auguri!

  • *****

Fantastic Neapolitan-style pizza, we also had an order of gnocchi and arancini, both of which were excellent and authentic, peas and all (in the arancini). There were several other dishes on the menu that were intriguing but will have to wait for another visit. What jumped out most to me was the smell of the restuarant, which is very reminiscent of little bistros and pizza shops in Italy: that doughy olive oil smell that I haven't experienced very often here. There is also a small hutch near the back of the restaurant where you can buy canned tomatoes, olive oil, and other specialty items. Oh and the gelato was excellent as well.

  • *****

The aranci is on point! Good beer and wine selection. The crust is, apropos of its namesake, a winner.

I didn't care for the cafeteria style ordering. Walk up to the register, order, and they bring the food to the table. What if I want a second glass of wine? Go order it and swipe my card again? Same for desert. Walk up and order a couple of deserts and coffee and swipe my card again? Pass. Revenue lost.

Would I come back again if I was I. The area? Sure. Would I go out of my way? No.

Try it for lunch or get it to go. Not quite the "dinner" vibe.

This may just be the best pizza ever! Crust is one of family's favorite spots. They have a good selection of pizza's, everything I have tried is delicious (the fried artichoke is excellent) . The salads are always fresh. Their cannolis are to die for too :)
    Highly recommed it!

Pizza is amazing. My one recommendation for lunch is the flatbread is a little small make it a little bigger

  • *****

Pizza was good. I ordered through yelp and they had it ready in under 10 minutes. One of the better pizzas in this area

  • *****

Had an excellent meal with my wife and daughter. Pizza was great, the meatballs were great, the spinach salad was great, and the green bean salad was great. Nothing to complain about.

  • *****

Went with some friends the other night and really enjoyed the pizza and the whole atmosphere. Food was good, people nice...we shall go again.

  • *****

Great service! Great pizza. Will return.

  • *****

Needed a quick bite near my hotel. Ordered a margarita pizza and it arrived quickly. They do it one way their way. A 12 inch thin crust Neapolitan style. It's as close as you will find to pizza in Italy

This place was far from where we we drove a long time to cine and eat here I can honestly tell the place is very welcoming the service is really really really good but the food is even better absolutely amazing is so out this world definitely worth coming back! And Mr Douglas was really amazing great customer service thank you

The calzone is delicious! My 7 yr old had the lasagna and said it was the best he's ever tasted. We also had the tiramisu and the strawberry gelato, that was very tasty. The gentleman who took our order, I believe was the owner was very friendly. I would definitely come back again!

  • *****

This is my go-to pizza place. The eggplant Parmesan appetizer is so awesome and so is the eggplant pizza.

  • *****

Good Italian style pizza. The restaurant is a mix of fast food and regular restaurant (you order and the sit down). I am always in search of a good Italian pizza and Crust fits the bill.

  • *****

The pizza was Delicious... Tasty sauce and very crisp crust, and quick from order to table. A great spot to stop and get lunch , or even of a game night . Friendly and efficient servers.
very good prices , like the tiramisu and cannoli under 10 dollar desserts and very good sizes. Over all Crust pizza Napoletana rocks.

  • *****

Delicious. Wanted to come back for dinner the same day after trying it for the first time at lunch. This is my new favorite local pizzeria!

  • *****

SO good! Authentic Neapolitan Pizza baked in a legit wood fired oven (the wood is stacked in the dining room). Fresh, simple ingredients = delicious food. I'll be back.

  • *****

Crust Pizzeria Napoletana is a great place for lunch. Sometimes, I wish they open this place before 11 am .
I came Monday afternoon and it was not a bad waiting, Only a few mins to have it ready. They have some good menu options and honestly The presentation is on point . The pizza it self is so good I could eat 2 or 3 in one day. The taste is very unique and really enjoy the atmosphere .

Love this spot in Vienna. Big and open but still somehow cozy. You walk up to the counter to order and pay. Grab a cup for water if you want. Then take a number back to your table and wait for your fresh piping hot food to be delivered.

We always get the Misto Salami to share. So good and very generous serving. Perfect to share as an app. The pizzas are always perfectly made and with a bit of chew. The ingredients balance each other out nicely. You can sub out different toppings. They're more than happy to accommodate.

My love & I have been craving REAL pizza since our trip to Italia in December. This place was a wonderful fix & we appreciated the supplis & creative toppings on our pizza.
Beer selection was great as well.

Excellent pizza, service, and drinks! Came in with a party of 10 last night at about 8:45. We had no trouble getting a seat. We put our orders in and food came out in no time! Servers were very attentive and the food was delicious. I had the Diablo's pizza...mmmm. We also had the margarita pizza, arancini, sausalido rapini, and a special pizza with anchovies and capers. Everyone LOVED everything! We will be back!

Being first timers at Crust, I was just expecting your typical brick oven pizzeria. Man. What an experience though. The owner explained that the pizza will be like eating a pizza straight from Napoli, Italy. Well, I have never been to Italy, but I'm sure I would enjoy the pizza in Napoli like I did here. Delicious! I love how the pizza crust was thin, slightly charred, yet still had a bite to it. The tomato sauce was absolutely delicious and probably one of the best sauces I've had. The ingredients are fresh, and I like how the focus was the pizza itself and not overwhelmed with too much topping. The cheese/sauce/toppings ratio was perfect. I live in Springfield, but will make the drive to Vienna for this wonderful pizza. A lot of people compare this place with the likes of Firenza or MOD. No. Just no. It's different. From the taste all the way down to the ingredients. Don't get me wrong, MOD and Firenza are great, but the authentic and fresh taste at Crust will have me choosing it over any other pizza. The staff is extremely friendly and makes you feel at home. The owner(s) come by your table and check on you and make sure your food is ok.
We also got the Arencini appetizer and it was by far the best I've had. I've had it at places like Ciao Osteria and Filomena, but I liked the taste at Crust. Thank you to the staff at Crust for making our experience wonderful and making us feel like we are a part of the family. And thank you for the wonderful food. Forgot to take pictures because we inhaled everything before thinking about taking pictures. :)

This place is like always pack we went there Saturday evening total pack. You can seat wherever you find space. We customize our pizza little bit. They also help me to customize my order. My favorite was pesto chicken and classic margarita.

If you have never had Neapolitan style pizza, then this is a great place to experience it for the first time! You can tell from the first couple bites that they use quality ingredients in their product and that this style is just as delicious as any other if not the most delicious. If you have only had the take-out kind of pizza, and you're looking at this style thinking that it's small in size or scarce in toppings, then I urge you to give this a shot. It may be less in quantity compared to chain pizza places, but the quality and taste will make you prefer to eat this.

Okay so I really like Crust. The interior is swank and yet so chill. The feel in here is awesome. You can bring a date here. You can order a pint and watch the game on tv here. You can bring the little league team in here and sit at the community table. Very kid friendly. And the food is good. The pizza is delicious. The margherita was classic and zesty. Some minor things could be looked at; we thought the pasta needed a little more sauce to make up for the dry. And the tiramiusu was having an off day. It was a bit too rummy and not enough chocolatey. We could have got drunk off those ladyfingers man. Just go for the pizza. It's really good.

I give Crust Pizzeria 5 stars! I lived in Naples, Italy for almost 4 years and this place is as close as it gets to Pizza Napoletana! They are also certified for authenticity. I can easily eat two pizzas in one sitting!

For those unfamiliar with Neapolitan Pizza, I invite you to read my blog, blogsbyvinceflores.home.

Excellent calzone, friendly manager, my dad and I went in for lunch and when the food arrived it was so much he was expecting to leave with a box. He didn't get one because by the time we left he had no more food on his plate. Definitely stop by here if you're in the Tyson's area and want pizza!

My husband and I had a wonderful experience at Crust! The establishment is unassuming and serves GREAT PIZZA! I'm NOT a pizza crust person, it always seems like too much dough and is soggy but not here. The pizza crust, IMO, IS THE BEST! I ate all of mine, which doesn't happen and stole a few pieces from my husband. The owner was gracious enough to come over, introduce himself and make sure we were happy customers. We had an entertaining conversation with him and left feeling like valued customers. I couldn't eat all my pizza and the owner advised when I was ready to reheat, put it in a pan, I used cast iron, in order to get the same amazing crispy crust. It worked like a charm! I normally would have tossed it in the oven to reheat....no more. I'm using his recommendation! The pizza was just as good the following day as when it was served at the restaurant. We can't wait to go back and try other menu options.

  • *****

Best pizza I have had in the area. The pizza is traditional and widely resembles the pizza I have had in Napoli. The mozzarella, the sauce, and the dough are amazing and mouth watering. Definitely recommend this place!

  • *****

I think this place is great, but compared to the pizzas I had in Naples, these are a little drier and chewier. Probably the closest thing I've had is Puppatella in Arlington, but even then theirs are too charred.

Crust seems to use high quality ingredients, so pretty good overall!

  • *****

True Italian Pizza. I've been eating American pizza my whole life, and I never knew what I was missing out on until I ate here.

  • *****

Great food, from salads to pizza and a good size serving. You feel like you have gotten your money's worth

Delicious Naples style pizza, tastes just like in Italy! Margherita style is my favorite!! Finally nice to have a great pizza spot in Tysons! Try the fried artichoke, meatballs, and eggplant parm pizza! Save room for the amazing tiramisu!

  • *****

Great, authentic Naples pizza - finally! - in Tysons/Vienna.

(For people who mistakenly think New York or Chicago 'style' pizza 'pies' are Italian food, please move aside.)

Good selection of drinks, small select list of excellent side dishes, very slightly grumpy guys in charge - so just like Naples!

  • *****

The place is very nice and cozy where you can have a nice conversation. The pizza I had was very delicious and authentic. My only issue was the staff. When the waiter took my order he wasn't very professional and did not seem to care to be there. I will still be going because of the food but I will be held back because of the st

When it comes to Neapolitan pizza it takes a lot to impress me. Simply meeting DOC standards and claiming to be authentic isn't going to cut it. You need to excel at what you deliver across the board from crust to sauce to toppings.

Crust meets all my marks for great pizza and exceeds the bar handily. My only regret - they aren't closer. If they were this would hands down be my go to pizza place.

Sampled 2 pies on my recent visit: the margherita DOC and a special white pizza with prosciutto, mushrooms, arugula and a balsamic drizzle. Both were EXCELLENT and left me wanted to munch until I explode.

    I'll definitely be back Crust.

This place is amazing! Let me start by saying that there is a huge difference between Napoletana style pizza and NY style pizza so dont come here expecting NY style pizza! The food is delicious, everyone is super friendly and the prices are great (understand that you are paying for quality ingredients)! I lived in Italy for 4 years, and with the first bite, I was instantly transported back to the little hole in the wall pizzeria (that's a compliment) that I would often walk to with my friends. I would say this is the best pizza I have had since leaving Italy and I have hunted down a few Napoletana style pizzerias over the years. I live about 30 minutes away, without traffic, and will often make the drive just to go here! MAKE THE DRIVE, IT IS WORTH IT!

  • *****

Wow, I wasn't expecting much from this place at first, but I was totally blown away by the quality of their pizzas.
Thin crust pizza with bubbly crust edges that have some burnt bits to it. Shazam! I've found my favorite pizza place in this area.

  • *****

We stopped here to grab a quick bite while on our way to NC, glad we did; food is delicious and fresh! We ordered a classic margherita and a margherita with sausage and pepperoni; everyone loved itz

  • *****

    Great pizzas and decent service.

  • *****

Solid thin crust pizza... we got a Marguerita and a Bolognese pizza and an arancini ... the arancini was decent but the pizza was pretty good. Not a ton of good pizza in the area so we'll definitely do this place again.

  • *****

For those reviewers who say this pizza is "soggy," not crispy enough, the characteristic char means their pizza is "burned," or it's not like good NY style pizza (it's not trying to be NY style)...it's just not their kind of pizza; they have no appreciation for true Neapolitan pizza and there's just no convincing them. That's fine...bonus: an available table for the rest of us at Crust! Disclaimer: I enjoy a good NY Style slice, too, sometimes. But as other reviewers state, this is the real deal for Neapolitan pizza. If you don't believe us, believe the Vera Pizza Napoletana certification on the wall and look up all of the wonderful things that it means, and all that this restaurant committed to in order to earn it. There are strict ingredients, origin of products, and methods to how the Neapolitan style of pizza (certified by this organization in Naples, Italy) is made.

The joy--for those who appreciate this style from the "Birthplace of Pizza"--is in the chew, texture, char and flavor of the crust and how the flavor perfectly contrasts and balances with the sweetness of the quality tomato sauce and any other toppings...and, yes, a little floppy sogginess (a good thing in this case!) in the middle. In Napoli, Italy, they eat their pizza unsliced and with a knife and fork, which works perfectly with its consistency in the middle. See a clip on YouTube of Julia Roberts eating her "soggy" pizza in Naples in "Eat, Pray, Love." OK, so she eats it American style, with her hands...but you'll see others around her eating it with knife and fork.

We're DC metropolitan area foodies like many of you on Yelp, and I crave Crust pizzas over all other food I've had over many years throughout the metropolitan area...and I don't mean pizza, only....I mean EVERYTHING. And 2 Amys has nothing on this place, so no need to stand in long lines there. If crave-able is your thing, this just might be your pizza...unless your pizza is Papa John's (and you require Ranch dipping sauce) or only-NY Style, and then fuggedaboutit.

We had the opportunity to try pizza in Naples, Italy recently. Going back to enjoy our Crust following the trip, we're transported back to memories of our day in Napoli. Keep doing what you're doing, Crust! Know that some customers just aren't going to appreciate it, but others of us have sweet dreams about your pizza and eating at your restaurant always brings happiness to our day. And thank you for the wonderful atmosphere you offer in your sleek, comfortable restaurant...especially love the floor design!

Second visit didn't disappoint and got that coveted 5th star. Went on a spur of the moment while driving through Vienna to avoid rush hour traffic, so glad we stopped! Service was fast and friendly, our pizzas took roughly 10 minutes from ordering to receiving and were hot hot hot! Boyfriend got the diavolo pizza this time, which has a spicier sauce that he really liked. I got the Margherita, add pepperoni and it was right up there with our go-to Napoletana restaurant in Rockville, Pizza CS (but faster, no offense guys!).
I no longer work in Vienna so we won't be able to be super regular here, but we will be stopping in whenever we're nearby and highly recommend for anyone who loves Napoletana pizza.

  • *****

We just discovered this place and we will become regulars now. The pizza is delicious. We just tried the margarita version since it was our first time. It came out perfect! The crust had a couple of black blisters for flavor and the cheese and sauce were fresh and flavorful. We also tried the fried artichoke appetizer and it was amazing! We are so happy we finally found good pizza near us.

  • *****

    Omg this place is amazing!!!
Everything is delicious the staff is very friendly.
    Highly recommended!

  • *****

We love it here, it's authentic. We love the relaxed atmosphere of the place too. Our 5 year old little boy loves it too

  • *****

Good quality pizzas. Always get the four cheese and margherita pizzas. The four cheese white pizza is definitely my favorite at this place. The pizzas are a bit small for $15 but the quality makes them worth it. Plenty of seats and a clean restaurant.

  • *****

Excellent neighborhood pizzeria. Always enjoyed it. Wish they had a regular service ( waiters ) and not cashier ordering. But the pizza is top notch.

  • *****

We discovered this new pizza and would love to share it with our community. The owners support the military by offering a military discount, then they further spoil us by offering amazing homemade Gelato after a fantastic pizza! This place plays great Jazzy music and is family friendly. A true gift to our McLean, Great Falls and Vienna community!

If you like pupatella pizza (another place in Arlington) then you'll like this, guaranteed. It's almost identical, Napoli style with super tasty soft crust, great tomato sauce, very little cheese, and very fresh toppings. The pies are a little larger and a couple bucks more, so they're better suited for two people, where pupatella would serve one.

The flavors you get from pizza like this, are warm tasty soft dough... not too thick, with a hint of woodsy burnt bits... fresh tomato sauce, and whole leaves of fresh basil that tastes like they were just picked, plus some small globs of very light, soft cheese that doesn't create big puddles of grease, or stretch out into 3 foot long strings.

That's the crucial difference that separates this style of pizza from the usual American stuff. It doesn't have tons of cheese that sit like a big gas-inducing brick in your stomach. Nor is the crust so thick that you want to leave it on the plate. It's overall less heavy.

I always get the pepperoni which is sharp and flavorful and just a little burnt on the edges. I've tried the bolognese style which means you get a thin layer of ground beef between the cheese and sauce, not unlike taco meat but with flavor similar to spaghetti meat sauce.

It was good, but added a layer of heaviness that kind of drowns out the simplicity of this pizza. It made it too much for one person.

I did like the arancini which are like big egg shaped things filled with a little bit of gooey cheese, meat, & peas. They have a shell of thin fried stuff that you can dip in tomato sauce, sort of like heartier mozzarella sticks.

My only issue is that they only seem to offer really basic cans of soda and bottles of water. But they also offer some desserts which are pretty good.

Service has been quick and friendly every time, the place is always clean and seems fairly new and spacious. Definitely less claustrophobic then pupatella.

Overall one of the best places to get pizza in Virginia. If you haven't tried this style, you should. Don't think it's some kind of weird pretentious pizza with quinoa or something, it's more like... how pizza tasted before it got made by huge chains and mass produced and made with cheap frozen ingredients.

  • *****

If you like 2 Amy's Pizza, Crust is the same Napoletana style. Comparing the 2, I prefer Crust.

If you are not familiar with Napoletana style, the pie is paper thin, with an edge crust that bubbles up airy, baked in a fire burning oven that gives the crust a good charred flavor.

DOC is a style of pizza that has very strict requirements for the flour, tomatoes and cheese to make it authentic, which Crust has earned the credentials to call it DOC.

One of (of not THE) best pizzas in the entire DC area.

  • *****

Will go again. Good customer service, excellent pizza and wine. We had two different pizzas, a salad, and canoli. Clean, plenty of parking. While dining there were two different families from Italy dining, so that should give them an extra boost for authenticity (they use quality ingredients from Italy). I also enjoyed their Montepulciano wine.

Decent selection of drinks, good side dishes, slightly grumpy guys in charge - so just like Naples!

Favorite pizza in the dmv. Try the melanzane alla parmigiana. My 3 year old loves their pizza too, which says a lot.

  • *****

Came in on a Saturday evening and ordered a margarita pizza to go. Sat at the counter until about 4 mins later when it was ready. Took it home and enjoyed it...as good as any naples style pizza out there. Well worth the $13! What more could you ask for? Simple and delicious.

  • *****

Great Neapolitan pizza. Affordable, quick, nice location. Very good for lunch or quick dinner.

  • *****

Great pizza...friendly staff...clean restaurant and bathrooms. Pizza was so good, we initially ordered 3, and got a 4th!! Definitely recommend and would definitely return should I be in this area again!!

  • *****

This is my 2nd time visiting for lunch. Can't say enough about how much i love this place! The owners are super nice and the food is even better.

The first time i went i got the parmigiana which is layers of eggplant, tomato sauce, cheese and bread crumbs.

This second time i got the gnocchi sorrentina and also was able to try my friends gnocchi Bolognese.

Everything I've had there has always been delicious & they use San Marzano tomatoes for their sauce making everything taste even better!

  • *****

The pizza is exactly how I like it. The Napoletana way! The pizza is authentic and tastes so good. I don't like the American pizza chains I'm so glad this pizza place open so we can have real Italian pizza in Tyson's.

  • *****

Delicious pizza, the same exact taste that I had in Rome before! Little expensive but it worth it

  • *****

Top notch, authentic Napoletana pizza here. Don't mind the negative reviews, especially ones about 'soggy crust'. Folks, this is authentic pizza. NY style pizza is also great, but it is different. The taste at this place is amazing, atmosphere is very authentic (especially if you frequent Italy and know the difference between American Italian and the real thing), and I did not have a problem at all with the staff. What I did have was Pizza Capricciosa, a glass of Sicilian Nero D'avola, and bottle of cold Acqua Panna (pictured). And I am now off to some coffee and cannolis.

  • *****

My only complaint: the mushrooms were from a can. But my kids all declared that the pizza char reminded them of the pizza we used to eat in Italy.

  • *****

I'm always craving some good pizza, so when I saw this place I knew I had to try it out. It's hard to find Neapolitan pizza around here, and the options at Crust are endless. I got the margherita and chicken and pesto pizza with sundried tomatoes. My friend also got the vegetarian. All of the pizzas were absolutely delicious l, but my favorite was definitely the margherita. The white pizzas had such great flavor even without the sauce, and the red pizza was also very tasty. They are a bit expensive, but the pizza is somewhat large, but a perfect meal. The service was decent, but sometimes they had trouble understanding our requests, so they slightly messed up my order and made it all to go. Otherwise, the atmosphere is very inviting and peaceful, and I would definitely come again for another delicious pizza.

  • *****

Ordered four margheritas (one with mushroom). I like this restaurant better than 2 Amys, although both are tasty brick oven style pizzas with naan like crusts. Their desserts and salads were excellent also. Have no complaints on the price or quality of service and food. Will definitely return!

  • *****

By far my favorite pizza place. I come here for lunch very often. 8.95? or so for a flatbread which comes with a salad and a soda. The salad is very fresh with argula, cherry tomatoes, fresh parm, and lemon/olive oil dressing. The flatbread itself is very doughy and so damn good.

I have had their pizza after lunch hour and it is just as good!

  • *****

Great pizza, nice environment and convenient. Manager was awesome and helped us use a restaurant.com coupon. Prices are a little high normally but the pizza is delicious. Takes me and my fianc back to Italy.

  • *****

Great pizza, always consistent service and food. Have become a regular here, keep up the great work!

  • *****

I stopped by the shopping strip to go to another store and decided to go into Crust Pizzeria I ordered a Margarita pizza and to my surprise, I love it. The dough was soft and delicious. Their pizza remind me of a NYC pizza. I'm so glad I stumbled upon this place and now this is my favorite pizza place. Finally!!!

  • *****

Delicious Naples style pizza, tastes just like in Italy! Margherita style is my favorite!! Finally nice to have a great pizza spot in Tysons!

Not only is the food fantastic and authentic, the people here are phenomenal. Let me tell you what happened yesterday. I was there with my family for dinner, and a homeless man walked in. He was talking to himself, looked like he was under the influence. I'm ashamed to admit, I felt a little uneasy since I had my two toddlers with me. The owner comes out to talk to him. I'm thinking he's probably telling him to leave the restaurant. NOPE. He asks the man to sit down. We don't see him for a few minutes. He comes back with drinks and a large pizza!! Then he asks the man if he wants to take the pizza to go or dine in. The homeless man wants to dine in, but doesn't wanna bother the other patrons so he takes his pizza and sits outside in 90 degree weather. The owner then follows him out with napkins, plates and silverware. The man has a nice meal, thanks the owner and leaves without any drama.

I was blown away by the kindness we witnessed yesterday. I told my 3 yr old what happened and it felt SO good to actually show him what humanity looks like. BRAVO CRUST pizza, I'm a fan forever!

Real Italian pizza. Highly suggest this place! Pricing isn't too bad either and the staff is well tempered. Never had an issue here so far. I've been around 15x. Give it a try

Awesome the best Neapolitan pizza in the area!! If you have not tried it you better.

Outstanding food. Half baked, half fried Pizza, Grilled artichoke. Mousse di Napoli. Friendly service.

Excellent pizza! Not greasy, fresh ingredients. The kids got the margarita, one got the 4 cheese and Italian bacon, I got the gorgonzola/sausage/mushroom, and my husband got a spicy one with spicey salami. The crust was perfect. Service was quick too. Will be back!

I went here for lunch yesterday. This place is legit. The pizza from the wood fired pizza over is almost exactly like the pizza I got in Vicanza Italy. The service was polite and fast. This will be a regular stop for me at lunch. Lunch was a half pizza and a coke with a small salad for $9.00. You can't beat that price in Tysons Corner and the food was excellent!

Neapolitan pizza goodness! I got the margherita and added the homemade meatballs...worth the $3 extra. While I would have a hard time shying away from the wood-fired pizza, there seems to be a lot of appetizer/salad/sandwich options on the menu to try. This spot is similar to Pupatella in Arlington, not sure which I prefer yet though Pupatella's interior is a little bit more cute/cozy.

Clean, casual spot that didn't disappoint, I will go again if I'm craving pizza and in the area.

Best pizza this side of Italy! We had the margarita DOC excellent!

  • *****

First time here and it was absolutely delicious!! The fried artichokes were a delight...served like lovely roses and very delicious! Don't miss trying them! My margherita pizza with added mushrooms and onions was the absolutely the best... much like the pizza I had in Italy! Great "budda bar" music playing in the restaurant. Friendly staff! Service was great! Make this your next pizza...I'm certain it will not be your last!
    Thank you CRUST...FIVE ++ Stars!!

The Bolognese pizza was flavorful, but the crust was so thin that the sauce made it a bit soggy. We also tried a daily special with prosciutto, mushrooms, arugula and balsamic, which was excellent. The green bean salad with burrata was probably the best part of the meal. Overall, a little too pricey for what you get. But we will be back to try the eggplant pizza, which I hear is a favorite!

Everyone loves pizza and this one definitely has a real good one. I love the crust. I had a classic and a canlzone. Both yummy!! But I have to tell you that homemade tiramisu was so rich! Best I ve ever had!

Excellent pizza, good taste, real pizza! We had margaretta w/ mushrooms, real tomato sauce and pizza dough thin and cooked perfectly! Highly recommended!!

Just moved back from Europe and happy to find this Napolitana pizza spot. Margherita pizza is my favorite.

I don't give 5 star reviews often. But when they're warranted, they're warranted, and in this case, its warranted.

Starting off this review, I got myself 3 items, 2 items for eat-in, and one for takeout. I also arrived here during the peak of rush hour, so I will forgive the fact that parking was very stiff, and people were driving like maniacs.

The location is literally a hole in the wall. But as the saying goes, the best food comes in the worst places. Not to suggest this was a slum, far from it. But the restaurant exterior decor is so nondescript, you'd pass by it thinking nothing of it.

    Until now.

The food items I ordered in were the Gnoochi Bolognese and a Margarita pizza. Both items came out to about $20 in total, which is not too bad considering the product being made. The food took approximately 5-7 minutes to make, which is pretty good timing. I started with the Gnoochi. It is AMAZING. Fresh, perfectly cooked, and a nice portion size. There was plenty of meat and cheese that nothing was ever overwhelmed. I could have easily licked the plate clean. Then I tried the pizza. Also perfectly cooked, the fresh cheese and sauce and the crust all were married together to make a delicious pie.

To go, I had to get a dessert. Yes, all the desserts are $5, a bit steep, so I asked for either the cannoli or tiramisu. They gave me the tiramisu. Upon getting home and trying it, I found it really, really hard to put down. Rich, creamy, and oh so filling. After it was all said and done, it took a lot of restraint for me not to order another pie, let alone a cannoli. That's how good this whole meal was.

Yes, I am aware Neapolitan pizza is not the same as New York style pizza, but this pizza was leaps and bounds better than any pizza joint I've been to since moving to Virginia, and that includes The Italian Store.

The cashier/associate who took care of me, Nora, was an absolute gem. She was genuine and really made great suggestions. I hope to see her again in future visits because she really added to the already wonderful experience.

Sorry for ending so abruptly, I gotta go work this, erm, walk this off now. Go get some of this, quick!

First time visiting this evening. Ordered takeout of two pizzas and two appetizers. Owner (he seemed like the owner, but not sure) was behind the bar and was very helpful and gracious. Seems like he runs a good shop. Eggplant and gnocchi apps were great, but gnocchi dish was quite small for $8 or so. Ordered Margarita pizza and a white pizza special. Both were good although crust was chewy and not crispy. Not sure if that's the style but I was expecting a bit of crunch from a wood oven.

Overall good experience and decent pizza for the area.

  • *****

Beyond amazing!!!!! The ingredients, the wood fired oven...the flavor combinations...all are hard to express in words and impossible to erase from your memory!

Have only been for lunch several times, but Crust delivers on the Neapolitan pizza experience and taste.

One of the major things to look for in any store claiming to make Neapolitan pizza is that iconic tiled pizza oven that is made by a family-run business in Italy. However, one of the additional things to look out for at a store claiming to make authentic Neapolitan pizza is the menu options descriptions. You're really looking for the Margherita and what's going in it - San Marzano tomatoes, mozz, and fresh basil. Crust has both of these things.

Lunch pricing is extremely compelling coming in at just over $10 after tax and tip, and it includes a drink! Service is also very prompt and friendly.

The pizza crust consistency is what you'd expect from a quality dough - slightly wet in the very middle of the pie but firm on the bottom and with a great chew. If you go for the Margherita, you'll be treated to that pure, classic flavor combination. One critique I do have is that the basil is a bit disappointing - I'd like to see more than just a couple of leaves on the pie.

Overall, the flavors and textures you get at Crust are awesome. You can't beat it for Neapolitan pizza in the area, though I think the Margherita pizza needs to be adjusted.

  • *****

I enjoyed the pizza! Love the soft and crunchy crust the freshness of the tomatoes and mozzarella. The pizza was a little wet, but not too much since it does have a light tomato sauce on it and it is not a thick tomato sauce. The pizza had a good simple flavor. I ordered the Montanara Pizza Margherita, half fried, half-baked with Arugula salad.

The pizza is expensive but you get enough pizza for one person. I have been to other places where the pizza is the same price and the size for one is like 2 -3 small slices.....

Came for the experience since I saw the restaurant on Out to Eat on PBS.

Best pizza that I have had in the area. Not sure about the negative reviews that I have read because this place serves truly authentic Neapolitan pizza. It is delicious and fresh. I will definitely return when I am in the area again. Keep up the good work.

First visit today, although I work nearby and have been yelp stalking them since the day they opened. I love trying new places but have limited time for lunch since I work in Vienna and Maple Ave traffic can make this as much as 15 minutes away each direction.

For our anniversary the boyfriend and I decided to take a *staycation* in Vienna. I knew *this* would be the perfect opportunity to get some Napoletana pizza from Crust since we were staying about 10 minutes away in Tyson's.

We arrived shortly after they opened, no wait. Ordered the Capricciosa pizza, sub spicy salami for regular for the boyfriend. I got the Pizza alla Crust, half Margherita (fresh mozzarella, San Marzano tomatoes, and fresh basil), half calzone (ricotta, mozz, salami) and some arugula and tomatoes. I added pepperoni, as it is my true pizza love :)

Service was friendly, we received our pies in about 10 minutes. Crazy fast. They were beautiful specimens, no complaints.

I LOVED the pizza side of mine. The char was on point, the sauce was divine. I *didn't* love the calzone side, BUT I didn't deduct any stars for it. I don't love ricotta and ordered it knowing it was going to be in there, so that's on me. It was still very good, just didn't fall in love with it. Next time I'll go whole pizza.

Boyfriend LOVED his pizza as well. We intend to return, would like to try the fried artichokes (for him) and the eggplant parm (for me) and I would like to try more pizzas.....possibly upgrade to 5 :)

This is a great addition to the Tyson's/Vienna area, and SO needed. Napoletana pizza is hard to find in the DC Metro area, and Crust does it right.

  • *****

My favorite pizza, anywhere. The dough is awesome. Fluffy and crusty. I eat the whole pizza solo. No regrets.

  • *****

First time here and definitely coming back. Had the eggplant pizza and small plate crostini. Everything was yummy and love the crust. The only reason I didn't give it a 5 is that being a first timer would have liked a little guidance.

  • *****

I must confess, the pizza was the least of what I liked about Crust. It was probably my fault as I was so eager to try Crust that I drove over after work and shlepped it all home to Capitol Hill. I'm sure everything would have been much better eaten on the spot.

Even so, the fried artichokes were divine. Not perfect, but very close - they were a little greasy and needed a sauce. I would recommend hollandaise, but would happily settle for a cup of Crust's tomato gravy (as some of my Italian friends call sauce). Next time, I'll be prepared with a few paper towels and ask for the gravy even if it costs extra. Next, the melanzane (eggplant Parmesan) was fabulous! Both dishes are served as appetizers, and I suggest that two apps plus one pizza will be more than enough for dinner for 2. Now we get to the pizza and the crust.

Being an eggplant afficianada, of course I got the Pizza melanzane and my companion ordered the peppino sandwich (prosciutto, mozzarella, arugala, and tomato) on the same dough used to make pizza (I think). I usually enjoy pizza room temp, but the crust had gotten unpleasantly flabby, so we deconstructed the sandwich and carefully reheated both that bread and the pizza itself. With careful reheating, both dishes became much more than acceptable. The eggplant again, was excellent and the sandwich fillings were delicious. I'm really looking forward to my next visit when I'll sit right down and eat the pizza as soon as it comes out of the oven.

See you there! BTW, don't forget to ask for a "frequent customer" card.

I am constantly on a quest to find a good calzone near me in Falls Church ever since the best calzone in town at Ovvio in Merrifield went away (so sad that Ovvio closed it was so great). Anyway, I had a calzone at Crust recently and it was rock solid. The crust had that great neapolitan crispy outside, chewy inside with nice bubbles. The corners were, as they should be, thick enough to highlight the crispy, bubbled outside and the substantial chewy inside that so many places get wrong. The ingredients were fresh and tasty - the usual ricotta and mozzarella with italian sausage substituted for ham (ham is the traditional ingredient, but I much prefer sausage). I think there may have been a basil leaf or two mixed in - can't remember if that came standard or if I requested it, but either way I wasn't mad at it. The straight marinara dipping sauce was on point - san marzano quality tomatoes in a thin, tangy, sweet sauce. Held up pretty well as takeout. I will be patronizing them again.

UPDATE: got these calzones again tonight. Disappointed. They clearly cut corners on both mine and my husbands. Maybe it's just a Friday night rush thing or something? But annoying for a $17 calzone. :(

  • *****

One of the few places that knows how to prepare and serve a margherita pizza. - and the fried artichokes were delicious. All fresh ingredients and excellent service. We will be returning.

Just go. Seriously, just go. The quality and freshness are fantastic.

I reaaaaaally like Crust Pizzeria. I've been a couple times now, getting a different pizza each time.

I sometimes start off with the arancini, which are really cute dome-shaped risotto balls filled with cheese, ragu, and peas. They are well complemented by the sauce that comes with them. Love those.

I've had the margherita, the pizza alla "Crust" and the pizza fritta (fried calzone!). The pizza alla "Crust" is particularly fun because it's half pizza, half calzone, so it looks like a Pacman that's eating a salad. The pizza fritta and the margherita are both good too. Whenever I go I choose between the three of those, since I love all of them.

  • *****

This is my favourite pizza place in Virginia area i have been going to this place since their opening and food and service is always perfect i so recommend it highly.

  • *****

This pizza did not disappoint! We had three pizzas and loved them all. The crust is outstanding and the quality of the ingredients make this pizza so much better than any other we've had in this area.
We also enjoyed our cannoli which was much more authentically italian than the american version. It was a pleasant surprise that for $5 you receive 2 cannoli.

  • *****

Came back a couple months ago, and did not encounter any service problems. Pizza was just as good as last time.

Although, in response to the owner's critique of my review (specifically, that my poor service was probably due to it being busy).... we were one of maybe five customers in the place. There was absolutely no excuse for the bad service, which was what prompted the bad review. I would have forgiven a somewhat new place in a swamped setting. That wasn't the case, and I still see the potential for it to happen again. We'll see--I plan on heading there this evening for some more great pizza.

  • *****

A lot of people don't understand Neapolitan-style pizza because they haven't had GOOD Neapolitan-style pizza. Pizzas are incredible. These guys know what they're doing. Their pizzas aren't overly-complicated because they rely on incredible ingredients. You won't find better Neapolitan in VA.

Crust is more than just pizza. Their apps and salads are also a must. Reasonable prices too. Keep it up, guys!

  • *****

My family and I come to Crust at least once a month; it's our favorite restaurant! We have lived in the Northern VA area for over 17 years, and Crust has by far the best pizza of any establishment in the region. The crust is absolutely indescribable, with large bubbles and cooked to a perfect crisp. The tomato sauce is astoundingly fresh, and the cheese is perfectly textured and flavorful. The service is great, the restaurant is always incredibly clean and comfortable, and the atmosphere is relaxed and friendly.

  • *****

I've been here with my 5 year old at least three times in the past month. The place is aptly named because their crust is amazing!!!! I take bread and crust very seriously, so I am a harsh critic. So when I say this crust is delicious, I mean it is perfect! Taste, texture, not too thick and fresh out of a wood burning oven. It reminds me exactly of pizza I would get when I was in Italy.
The only downside to this place, is that they have limited preset pizza choices, so I end up 'making my own' often and the price is steep to add you own toppings vs choosing a preset one.
The place is kid friendly, but I also see a lot of people on dates...so a semi-casual sit down place that is perfect for everyone.
I can't wait to go back again soon!!

One of my colleagues found this Neapolitan gem near Tyson's for a happy hour. I liked the pizza so much I took the family back there within two days.

Very nice ambiance. Great for groups and for families. Meatball appetizer is an excellent start. Margherita pizza is just a tad less tangy than Pupatella's. The Bolognese sauce pizza is great.

Decent selection on tap. Unobtrusive service. Will be back. Encourage people support more such non-chain restaurants.

  • *****

Very good Napoletana Pizza served the fresh pizza.

Great fresh Napoletana Pizza which cooked in the authentic wood oven. Nice restaurant and nice atmosphere. I'll come again!

Broccoli in a sandwich - it was GREAT! Had the Giada - sandwich.

This isn't a pizza shop. Its a secret gourmet restaurant that also has pizza.

  • *****

I lived in Italy. I'm a pizza snob. This place is my new favorite pizza spot in the DMV area. The eggplant pizza is to die for. I should have known by the real Italian flour stacked when you enter that this place was legitimate. Kudos to this place. I will certainly be back!!

  • *****

I came in for dinner on a Tuesday night. We ordered the fried whole artichokes, gniocchi bolognese and the diavola pizza. The artichokes were slightly crispy on the outside and very tender on the inside. The gniocchi were the best I've ever had. The pizza was spicy and the crust was tender. The restaurant was very clean. The only problem is they didn't know the names of the people on the walls.

  • *****

Crust is a perfect spot for lunch or dinner. The pizza was a perfect size for one. Thin crust was delicious with a a nice char from the wood fired oven. The sauce on the Diavalo pizza had some heat and the toppings were fresh.

  • *****

I'm always on the search for good Neapolitan pizza. For authentic Italian food, I usually rely on recommendations from a colleague from Italy. But, last night was Sunday and I had a craving so I just yelped it and ended up at Crust. Very happy with my decision - from start to finish. Busy, but not overcrowded - ordering was quick and easy. Texture of the pizza was spot on, as was the flavor. And the fried whole artichokes, delicious and not greasy at all. All in all a great dinner and at a great price too!

  • *****

Very nice and modern looking space that is also cozy. Many old Italian pictures on the walls that give the place good flavor. And speaking of flavor, the pizza is amazing! We ordered the Diavola, Montanara, Vegetariano, and Italia and all were delicious. I substituted the prosciutto on the Italia for mortadella since they were out of prosciutto. Beautiful oven baked pizza that is made with fresh ingredients and bursting with flavor. Just the right amount of sauce and cheese. Much better than most pizza places in the area and reminded me of pizza I had when I was in Italy. The service was prompt and everyone was friendly with a smile on their faces. They have a parking lot so parking was easy to find. I live in Maryland but will definitely be returning here to eat more pizza!

  • *****

Amazing. If you are into authentic Italian pizza, this is the place to satisfy your cravings.

  • *****

The eggplant appetizer and the margherita pizza were very good.

Crust never disappoints. Consistently delicious product. It has become my go to Neapolitan pizza place and I have tried lots of them. The pizza is always perfectly cooked, with the right ratios of tomato sauce to cheese and other toppings. It shows they only use the high quality ingredients. I have tried other menu items and they all have been up to par with the pizza. I would recommend it to any Italian food lover. Don't wait, go now!

  • *****

Best neopolitan pizza in Vienna!! Flavors are fresh and as authentic as you can get! Can't wait to eat there again! Thanks Chef Tonino!!

  • *****

Discovered this place by pure chance and now it's a mandatory stop on our trips out of town to visit family. I lived in Naples. Up until now, the best Neapolitan pizza I had found in the US was in Minneapolis...which is a little far from where I live (Maryland). We are so happy to have found a place closer to get yummy pizza.

  • *****

They do what they do perfectly...
    REAL Neapolitan Pizza!!!

I had the Quattro Formaggi con Pancetta and it was very tasty. I lived in Naples for several years and the pizza at Crust is very good and the best Napoletana pizza that I have had in the greater Tyson's Corner, Vienna, McLean area. I ate early (5:00-530 PM) and there were several families with children enjoying pizza. It is great to see a place that is family friendly. Parking behind the building was convenient.

Counter service with DOC Neapolitan Pizza. I lived in Napoli for 10 years... been back in the US for 10 years... this is the first place stateside that had a Pizza Diavola - My go-to from my days in Naples. Very passable. As good as you will get without the airfair! Would have given 5 stars if there was table service.

  • *****

Crust is a cute pizzeria in the heart of Tysons Corner. They take their pizza baking very seriously! As soon as you walk in you see the big wood fired pizza and the place smells so good! You can order a pizza on the menu or make your own. We ordered one from the menu and then added an extra ingredient on it. It was delicious and very authentic! I'm looking forward to my next visit!

  • *****

This place is pretty legit for a random pizza place in a tiny strip mall next to a liquor store and a hooka joint. By "pretty legit", I mean they really make a mean Neopolitan pizza!

I had my doubts when looking at it from hotel room window but having tried both the middle eastern places and not feeling like a Subway sandwich, I decided to give it a try. Why not? Even bad pizza is better than Subway, right?

Imagine my surprise when I walk past the non-exciting decor to the back to order and there's a bonified domed wood-burning pizza oven! Pretty exciting! I've tried several pizzas here and they do a pretty fine job with the dough and sauce. The mozzarella is creamy and delicious (not the weird shredded stuff of American pizzas). On the more innovative front, they offer a chimera pizza called Pizza alla Crust which is a mashup of pizza, calzone, and salad all in one.

While the food is pizza is truly the star of the show, there are some supporting characters worth mentioning. The Burrata salad is intended for 2. Don't try to eat this by yourself or your jaws will hurt and cry tears of shame into your delicious gooey cheese. The Insalata Spinaci has surprising little peppers that are adorable, delicious, and pack a punch.

I would say that this is a great place for a casual gathering of friends but if you're looking for romantic ambiance, maybe take that Tinder date somewhere else.

  • *****

Delicious thin crust pizza. We have found our pizza place in NOVA. The crust could be a little crispier but otherwise this place blows away most of the pizza places in NOVA. Actually, I don't know how some of the pizza places here stay in business. Being from NYC and having traveled extensively throughout Western and Eastern Europe, I have high expectations. I have been to many cities throughout Italy and eaten some very good pizza. This place serves a delicious pizza. We have tried a few varieties. We will certainly be back.

  • *****

Love this place. Really good pizzas and nice indoor. I always get the 4 season pizza, it's not in the menu but they make it if you ask for it. Highly recommend the place!

  • *****

We enjoyed dinner here! Pizza is awesome & nice family friendly place. Real wood fired pizza oven. The burrata cheese and meat plate was excellent! My husband had a sandwich that looked great too.

  • *****

Loved this pizza and wish it was closer to home! Perfect crust: airy crisp-chewy edges that enticed this crust skeptic to consume each slice entirely instead of leaving the "rind" perched on the side of the plate. Sauces were fresh and yummy. Toppings all of fine, tasty quality that perfectly enhanced that lovely crust. Thank you, we'll be back!

  • *****

Yummy authentic, fresh tasting pizza. This one is my new fav... By its look, I didn't think they would have wine but they do! By the glass and bottle. Good pizza and wine - all bases covered!

  • *****

I really wish I had known about this place sooner because their pizza is amazing! I came in recently for dinner and split a pizza with eggplant, mozzarella, and parmesan, and the bean salad. The pizza was absolutely delicious! The wood fired oven made it nice and crispy around the crust/top, but melty and gooey in the middle. I was also really shocked at how delicious the thinly sliced eggplant was on top of the pizza, it really added a good heartiness and flavor. They sell wine and beer, and the interior has a cool, modern feel. Great neighborhood spot!

  • *****

I went to Crust Pizzeria for lunch with a group of colleagues. I'll have to give this place five stars, just based on the excellent food. Cashier seemed a little slow, service looked disjointed and the drinks were given to you in a can without offering a straw or glass. But that all didn't matter when my salami & mushroom shortbread came out. Good size for the lunch offer prize (included a side salad), great crust (comes with the name) and excellent flavors for the toppings. Great job. Definitely would consider going there again, albeit a little earlier for lunch to avoid the crowds.

Update: I had to downgrade my review purely on the fact that the restaurant is claiming that Crust is the only traditional Neapolitan pizzeria in Virginia. This is simply not true, there is another very good traditional Neapolitan pizzeria in Arlington, Virginia. Also verified by the Associazione Verace Pizza Napoletana.
Keep up the good work with your food, but please try to avoid false advertising.

  • *****

Having spent 9 years in Italy, this is as close as it gets to authentic and delicious wood fired pizza. This place was great and I highly recommend it if you like "real" Italian Pizza similar to that found in Naples. I will be back!

  • *****

If you are looking for fresh authentic Neapolitan pizza look no further. Crispy crust with the kind of pizza that toppings fall everywhere and you gotta fold the pizza in half to get all the deliciousness inside da belly. The sausage is unbelievably juicy and delicious. I ordered the sausage and broccoli white pizza but added pesto and boy was it divine! Pizza was hot and ready in less than 5 minutes. Couldn't be happier to have this great pizza spot in the area!!!

  • *****

This place gets pretty close to a place I just visited in Napoli Italy. The pizza fritto was fantastic. Looking forward to the next time.

Came here on a Sunday afternoon. You have to order at the register here. After you order, you are given a number to take to your table.
The inside has many seats and is clean. The staff are welcoming as well.
I tried their pizza with four cheese with bacon. The crust was really good with a nice char from the brick oven. However, the pizza itself was too overwhelmingly salty. The combination of the cured bacon and cheese was too much for me. Nevertheless, I finished my portion which I shared with another person.
It is a personal sized Pizza, but on the pricey side.

    I would recommend coming here!

  • *****

One of my favorite pizza places in town along side Two Amys. The owner is on top of things, the crust and toppings are fresh. I definitely recommend it.

  • *****

Delicious. It's a different style than your typical American pizza... ingredients are fresh, and it tastes great. I got mine well done so that it's a tad firmer than usual.

  • *****

This is my favorite pizza place in the area. All the ingredients taste fresh and I always recommend this place to friends. This place is great for bigger groups as it has a lot of space. Just remember when you get there to seat yourselves and then order at the counter, the food will then be brought to your table.

I would recommend the vegetable pizzas - I know... I am a meat lover myself. I would have never thought to pick veggie pizzas over meat, but give it a try! My favorite pizza is the mellanzane Alla parmigiana. If you insist on picking meat pizzas over the veggie, atleast try the mellanzane alla parmigiana appetizer.

  • *****

Real Italian pizza!!!! Best pizza in Virginia!I love it!!! Definitely I will come back again!!!!

Crust is the hottest new pizza place in the Tyson's area! Situated a few minutes from Tysons Corner Mall, Crust Pizzeria Napoletana has become one of my favorite places to grab an authentic coal fire oven pizza. The restaurant uses fresh ingredients and imports certain ingredients from Italy -- trust me you can really tell. If you stop by at lunchtime they offer great deals on flatbreads. I highly recommend the Pizza a la Crust which is their signature half pizza, half calzone dish. Another personal favorite is their lasagna. You can tell the pasta and the sauce are made from scratch. You also cannot go wrong with any of the pizzas on their menu. I normally opt for the margherita pizza with prosciutto on top.

The restaurant offers a more expensive tasting menu with the affordable pricing of a grab and go restaurant. I would highly recommend stopping by crust if you're looking for a great bite of Italian cuisine.

Great authentic Napolitano crust. The place looks small from the outside but it's so rustic n spacious inside. The pizza is a must try!!!!!

  • *****

Fantastic pizza - definitely the best in the immediate area if you like napolitano style. I definitely recommend keeping it simple with the margherita pizza - you can't go wrong.

  • *****

I like their pizza, moist and softer pizza crust compare to Stella Barra which I frequently dine in. They have four beer on draft which isn't bad but could have more. Not much parking in the front of the building so you have to go around to the back.

  • *****

Love this place - it's my regular go-to for true Neopolitan - cannot ever go wrong with the Margharita. The fried artichoke is also so delicious! I come here with my 18 month old son and he loves it, too!

  • *****

Love this amazing pizza place. Oven baked pizza with a variety of choices to choose from. Great price. Alcohol available.

  • *****

Love the pizza ! Great services
Amazing energy very very good pizza napoletana !!!!!
Loved everything ! Thank you for making me and my family happy every time we come there ! Always with smile ! We loved the last visit ! Thank you again

  • *****

If you want true Napolitano pizza from a Napolitano, look no further than Crust Pizzeria. If you live in Arlington make the drive to Tysons, you will not be disappointed.

  • *****

AMAZING!!! I actually lived in Naples, Italy for 3 years. The pizza there was absolutely amazing. This "brought me back"!!! It was the best pizza I have had since leaving there. I can't wait to go back and bring my hubby.

  • *****

Fantastic spot! The risotto balls are full of flavor, pizza is spot on. I'll definitely come back!

  • *****

We really enjoyed our pizza and fried calzone! We are from NJ and very hesitant to order outside of NY/NJ area but glad we took a leap of fate because it was Great! Not a huge menu or bar but what ordered made up for that!

  • *****

if you are looking for a TRUE Neapolitan pizza you should stop by here, I can have this pizza every day not only the pizza but Cannoli is out of this world, Simply one of the best in town, very well decorated and designed with friendly staff.

  • *****

Pizza is my most favorite food. I try every pizza restaurant I can find. This one gets 5 stars from me! I loved it so much I went there two days in a row for lunch. The staff is friendly, the restaurant is attractive, very clean and good music. This pizza is very different from the regular chain pizza....it's actually loaded with flavor. The sauce tastes fresh and the crust is the perfect texture and flavor. I have always gotten their house Margharita pizza but my friend got pepperoni and loved it!

  • *****

The pizza is SO good! Had the classic margarita, and it had the best crust and tomato sauce I have ever eaten. It brought Naples to Vienna, VA. Love Crust.

  • *****

We've been sampling the goods from Crust since they opened in Tysons a few weeks ago and have come away impressed every time. The pies are fantastic and combined with a salad and app (and wine!) they're the perfect size for a weekend dinner. Had a request to enlarge their delicious panzanella the other day so we could introduce this shop to friends, and they were more than happy to accomodate. I'm also impressed with their speed in getting orders through, but I expect (and hope) it slows down once the rest of town figures out what they're missing.

  • *****

The most authentic Napoletano pizza we've found anywhere in this area. If you're looking for New York style or Chicago style pizza, this isn't your place, but if you want pizza the way they make it in Italy you have to try Crust. Friendly staff and quick service too.

  • *****

One of the beat Italian pizza places in the neighborhood. Great food and even better service

  • *****

This was the best pizza I have had in the DC metropolitan area. Much better than 2 Amy and some of the top Pizzaerias in DC!!! Highly recommended.

  • *****

A great Neapolitan pizza place! The pizza was delicious -- sauce, crust, cheese, etc. All good!! Great beverages and app options plus dessert. The space and decor are also very well done. Large tables for big groups and modern decor with a traditional Italian flair. I wish I lived closer to tysons otherwise this would be a regular place for our family.

  • *****

A pleasant surprise that we stumbled upon on a snowy afternoon. Clean, spacious, excellent menu.

  • *****

Truly authentic neopolitan pizza without the condescension of other such places. We have tried the pizzas, as well as the meatballs and aroncini, and all are excellent. Crust is aptly named, as the pizza crust is really outstanding. Because we live close and preparation is so quick with the super hot oven, I head to Crust as soon as I get off the phone and am back home with pizza in 15 minutes or less. Much faster than waiting an hour on a Friday night for delivery (although crust uses one of the online delivery services if needed. Since the pizzas are sized only in 12" but are priced fairly (and they do have happy hour special pricing at times as well), you can get a couple of pies and choose different toppings for your family.

  • *****

A coworker brought a slice in for lunch and the smell alone was enough to make me order 3 full pies for dinner. The whole order took maybe 10 minutes to cook and they carried them out to the car for me. We had the four cheese, the margherita, and the diavola, and each kind got at least one first-place vote from the table that night. Two Amys has been the standard for Neapolitan pizza in the area for so long but this place is definitely their equal.

  • *****

Working on a Saturday and was so tired and stopped by at this new place and all i have to say is wow it took me back to naples Italy their Margherita pizza and the tiramisu was amazing . Keep up the good work and thanks...

  • *****

Finally, a good pizza place nearby! Perfectly cooked crust, great selection of toppings. The young girl behind the register was friendly and helpful and recommended the eggplant pizza to me, which was OUTSTANDING. I love that I can order wine with pizza as well. Seriously, this is the best pizza I've had since 2 Amys.

  • *****

We had the Capricciosa and it was delicious. I don't usually eat the border of the pizza. Ate every last bit. The sauce may be a bit on the liquidy side, but it is so flavorful. The service is super friendly and the pizza came very fast.

  • *****

They serve pretty good Neapolitan pizzas. They are better than the average pizzas you have around the area. However, the prices are a bit high.

  • *****

Their eggplant pizza is great... Friendly crowd. Would recommend for someone who craves Real Italian pizza in nova

  • *****

I love this place. We tried it out with our 20 month toddler. The staff are all friendly to us and the food are very good. We will definitely come back. I hope they keep being this good.

  • *****

Finally, Neapolitan pizza in the burbs that compares with 7th hill in the city. We'll be back

  • *****

Really, really loved it! These guys are legit and take making Neapolitan pizza seriously. When you walk in the front door you see the flour and tomatoes they use. Those two ingredients along with the buffalo mozzarella cheese are required for VPN certified pizza makers and these guys are VPN certified. What does that mean? It means they meet the strict requirements that respect the tradition of the art of Neapolitan pizza making. VPN certified pizza makers use a certain type of flour, a certain type of tomatoes, and a certain type of cheese on their pizzas. Since becoming a convert to Neapolitan pizza, one bite and I know they are the real deal. I plan on making this place my go to Neapolitan pizza place when in the Tysons Corner area.

  • *****

Food is amazing!! The Insalata alla CRUST to die for if you are a fan of chilled seafood! Pizza can't await to try the next one!!!

  • *****

Margarita pizza and "crust" pizza (half pizza half calzone) didn't disappoint. The panzanella salad was delicious and deserving of its own 5 stars. Clean, open. Very friendly staff. Highly recommend and will definitely return.

  • *****

Lunch today with my wife. We split an Arugula salad, margherita pizza plus a Coke for $20. Excellent food. Contrary to other posts the salad had arugula, lots of cherry tomatoes, onion, two types of olives, bread crumbs and dressing. The pizza was the best I've had outside of Italy . We lived there 3 years and have gone back many times. We will definitely go back and highly recommend. Can't wait to try other menu items.

  • *****

This is absolutely authentic Neopolitan pizza. Tonino is the master pizza chef. Be sure he makes your pizza...and yes he is from Naples. And the oven master is one of the best, with 16 years experience. The Margarita pizza is spot on. The atmosphere is very casual. No wait on a Friday night! It's #1 on my wood-fired pizza list out of 13 so far.

Back again, 3 more times in fact ! Just as good, just as authentic!

  • *****

I love Neapolitan style pizza and they have nice Italian wine also, definitely coming back!

  • *****

Delicious pizza. Fantastic crust, if you like thin and chewy. We had one topped with salami, olives, and artichokes that was a little to salry, but great flavor combo. Good (small) draft beer selection with emphasis on local brews. Think Flying Dog, DC Brau. We had fried artichokes, which were amazing, and done with a presentation far fancier than expected for an order-at-the-counter place. Fast, friendly service. Pizzas about $15 and serve two if you get an app or salad.

  • *****

I recently returned from my second lunch visit to Crust. I am absolutely a fan! The staff is friendly and passionate about their work. I love how open and spacious the interior feels with a slight, almost industrial feel to it and plenty of wine and beer! The pizza is fired in a brick-oven and both that I have ordered have been delicious with good portions. All of this comes wrapped in very affordable prices!

  • *****

I just happened to be in Vienna and saw this Napoletana Pizze place and had the urge for pizza. Turns out that Crust just opened. I ordered the Diavola with Spicy Sopressata and it was excellent. Real nice place and a very friendly staff. Met the owner who also introduced me to the Napolitan chef who made my pizza. Thanks Crust......I'll be back!

  • *****

Delicious authentic Napoletana pizza. This was my first visit to DC in two years. Friends suggested this place. I am impressed with quality of food, prices, and the management. I am certainly going back. The Burrata is beyond imagination. Try it and you will not regret.

  • *****

I give this place all "Fs"! Friendly, Flavorful, Fresh. Would I return? Absolutely.

Service was friendly and prompt. Pizza (all one size) was ample. Fresh mozzarella and fresh basil always a winning combination. The crust fluffy and a bit soft (in a good way) and the tomato sauce tasty and just the right amount. I opted for the simple - Pizza Margherita - but a good variety on the menu.

Comfortable setting with soft jazz in the background. Good all around.

    Grazie!

  • *****

Great food with clean and comfortable ambiance. Not much of a variety but definitely recommend for a low key and fast meal.

  • *****

All I have to say is Naples is in Tysons now...authentic Napoletana pizzeria Bellissimo...

  • *****

So happy you can get delicious doc pizza near tysons instead of trucking all the way into the district or Arlington. The place is clean and new. Order at the counter and they'll bring your food to you. Margherita was just as good as 2amys! Service was very friendly and welcoming. Hope this place sticks around. Yum.

  • *****

I like the pizza. I recommend you ask for it to be cooked extra as it can come out very doughy in general.

  • *****

I'll give it between 3.75-4. I love the ambiance and interior here. Great family place and very cozy place for lunch/ dinner. All the staff were very prompt, friendly and accommodating! The pizzas were good but to me they were sort of bland. But I think I'm accustomed to lots of different flavors on pizzas perhaps? I tried a special world tour sampler I think it was called and picked 4 different pizzas in 1. Traditional thin pizza baked in the oven was pretty cool! Sampled the tiramisu, mousse and canoli desserts and they were pretty good overall. No complaints on dessert. I liked this place but wasn't blown away. But maybe I was too excited to go here and my expectations were too high?

  • *****

Great authentic Italian pizza. If it's your first time with this type of pizzia take a minute to understand what is going to be on your pizza.

  • *****

I just went here for the second time in a week. It's the most amazing Italian food I've had outside of NY! Casual, too - you order at counter and they bring to your table. Owned by a really nice man who told us he gets the pizza flour from Napoli! The cheese tastes amazing. The salads are so delicious, with cool peppers and other interesting ingredients. The fried artichokes are totally incredible - light and buttery deliciousness. Great service, food came out in an appropriate time. This will be a regular spot for us in Vienna!

  • *****

    Our new favorite pizza place.
I'm glad they are in Tysons corner.
They opened only less than a month ago and we've been here at least 10 times! (attached are some pictures of what we had so far)
They seem to use all fresh ingredients and prices are fair for what they serve.
    Highly recommend Crust to everyone.
Great pizza, nice service and awesome atmosphere, not to mention their convenient location with lots of parking.

  • *****

The food is very good. Very nice atmosphere. The only thing i recommend to them is to serve single slice pizza. This is a very big metropolitan area where their restaurant is within walking distance from huge companies. People that are on break cant eat an entire pizza.

  • *****

Excellent pizza especially pepperoni and a flavorful and fresh panzanella salad that all rivals Pupatella. Comfy atmosphere and the owner is cool too. We really needed this in Tysons.

  • *****

We eat here as often as we can. Having grown up in Napoli Chef Topolino is the real deal. Amazing Pizza Napoletana!!

  • *****

If your looking for a quality pizza , Crust is the place to go . All the ingredients are fresh. I liked the fact that the actual pizza is thin & the main focus was the quality of the crust . Great looking environment & service was excellent .

  • *****

Absolutely delicious crust. Wonderful variety of Naples style pizza. Earlier in their opening months there were some inconsistencies with the crust texture, but lately the crust has been absolutely fantastic!! I'd suggest real grated parmesan cheese for sprinkling and a couple of cracked pepper & salt grinders on the back table for those who desire additional seasonings. This place is a gem in Tyson Corner!!!

  • *****

One of my favorite pizza places in DC metro! Legit Neapolitan pizza. The folks are really nice and they seem to truly love the art of making perfect pizza. My favorite is the Diavola and my wife's is the Margherita Classico! We usually eat in but tonight I'm trying take out for the first time and enjoying a cold Peroni while I wait!

  • *****

Let's get the most important thing stated immediately--Crust is amazing and you should not walk, but run to get in there. Everything is homemade and the star of the show really is the crust (insert pun). That said, I'm reviewing this for my mother, because she doesn't have a Yelp account and asked me to write one on her behalf...

My mother and stepfather could be considered 'pizza aficionados' due to Italian heritage and world travel. It must also be said that my mother has her finger on the pulse of the Metropolitan area, when it comes to dining out. She's been talking about the opening of Crust since she found out about it months ago. In fact, a week before they opened, they did a drive-by just to double check, and ended up texting me to say that they'd "have" to go to the rum bar because it wasn't open yet. So, it makes sense that my parents were probably one of the first diners on opening night (partially due to the fact that they like to eat at by 6pm).

They absolutely loved it and found it "worth the wait". The next morning my mom woke up and had literally dreamt about the crust. She relayed the dream to my stepfather upon which he replied "what time do they open today?" They both had a chuckle and realized the addiction to Crust was quick and painless.

We prepared a few phrases that may inspire you to get up and go (or at least roll your eyes):
    Crust or Bust.
    Crust is a Must.
If its good, it must be Crust.
    Crust Lust.
    Trust Crust.
If it isn't Crust, its just dust.

    What are you waiting for?

  • *****

Nice place to eat pizza. Lunch special made fast. People are nice. This guy greets me when I walk in the door. Pizza looks good and taste good too.

  • *****

We live close and do take out from here pretty often, probably once a month or more. The pizzas are always fresh, piping hot, and delicious. Our favorite is the Italia, with prosciutto, mozzarella, arugula and cherry tomatoes. Yeah, it's like a salad on a pizza and it's delicious. One kid swears by the Diavola and another the Margherita. We've had several sides including the Polpettine (little meatballs in a rich sauce) and Arancini (risotto balls with beef, cheese, and peas), a few of the salads. Everything has always been fresh and tasty.

Pro tip - Don't order ahead for takeout. Go in person, place your order, and get a beer or glass of wine at the small bar while you wait and talk to the staff. Delicious food, nice people, fast service.

  • *****

Great pizza, fast service, have eaten there 3 times, will be back. Best I've had in all the places I've been in the DC area, for sure. It is very comparable to ones we've had in Italy.

  • *****

Great pizza, excellent service! I like the Dino g area as well. Probably the best pizza you can get in tysons corner area.

  • *****

Ordered again over the weekend and the pizza was phenomenal! It does deserve the update. We got the margarita and pizza Italy and both were really good. Will come again soon!

  • *****

As good if not better than what you get in Naples. The elite woman clearly has too much time on her hands to write a tome of libelous garbage. This is great pizza run by great people. Reviewers like you Dan and Amanda are why our country is so divided.

  • *****

We ate lunch here for the first time and cannot wait to go back! Orders are placed at the counter and food is delivered to your table. We ordered a Caprese salad for an appetizer, a Diavola Pizza (basically a Margherita pizza with both spicy salami and sauce) and one of the specials (pizza with garlic and roasted tomatoes). Both pizzas were extremely tasty and delicious, and the Caprese was outstanding! Based on the positive reviews we read, we also ordered the cannolis to go as we were stuffed by this point - even though we ate them later, they did not disappoint. The reviews on the cannolis alone are spot on! I consider myself a pizza junky, and this place did not disappoint. Great place to go if you're looking for some Neapolitan style pizza!

  • *****

I'm Italian. My family came from near Naples. I just ate at Crust yesterday - twice, once for lunch and then for dinner - because it was awesome. I usually go to NYC for my pizza fix, but now I can go to Crust in Vienna.
Try the Montanara - it's a texture sensation. Fried dough then baked into a pizza. My grandmother used to make fried dough, or Pizza Fritte, for me and it was the most comfortable comfort food ever. Now everyone can get it right here in Vienna.
The Peppino Panuozzo (sandwich) made with pizza dough bread is also fantastic....Can't wait to try the Pizza Fritte, as they call it, which is a fried calzone.
And I am looking forward to trying so many other items on the menu.
Met Fred and the chef and told them how much I appreciated their food. I'm going back very soon!

  • *****

I consider myself a pizza snob and I literally dream about the pizza here. I've had a variety of things from and have never been disappointed. Also, the cannoli is otherworldly.

  • *****

The service is good. The pizza is good. No complaints here.

Definitely one of the better pizzerias around this area!

  • *****

I am a frequent diner at Crusts and it continues to be the best pizza in this area. The owners are friendly and welcoming. They and their staff come by our table to see if we need anything. If I cannot finish my pizza, I only have to ask for a box and they bring it right over to me. I usually have the Marguarita pizza and my husband likes the pizza bolognese. We share the ensalda panzanella and the server always offers fresh pepper. I'm not sure about Dan and Amanda's two reviews of the same night because I have never had uncooked dough. Yes the slices are large but I never had a problem eating them. The taste and consistency is perfect. I'm getting hungry just thinking about it.

  • *****

This is one of the best pizza spots in the region. Their pizza stands up to any pizza made in Italy.

  • *****

My husband and I live about a mile from Crust, and are so happy to discover our new pizza place. We shared the margherita and the chicken pesto, and struggled to walk home because we finished both pies in one sitting! The pizzas were perfectly cooked, and the ingredients were fresh. I think the sauce is key, and I'm pretty sure they use the high end San Marzano tomato sauce. I was a bit skeptical about ordering the chicken pesto, but it was probably one of the best tasting pestos ever! So flavorful, and will definitely order that one again.

Con - There are TVs on one of the walls, and honestly ruins the atmosphere, especially the modern rustic Italian decor. I doubt anyone is going there to watch sports anyway. The music was also a bit on the louder side.

  • *****

Good find in Tysons area. Very authentic and I love the pizza crust! The restaurant has very cute seating with outdoor area as well for a perfect weekend dinner :)

  • *****

We are fans of Neapolitan style pizza. This place has the Vera Pizza sign hanging and they stay true to the old world standard. The pizza was great, the crust was light, thin on the bottom and covered well by fresh ingredients. We also had the fried artichoke as appetizer and it was fantastic.

Awesome pizza...just wish you did tuna, onion and black pepper like the one we always loved to get while in Italy. (Ok, my kids wish that you would do the sausage and french fry one also...one of their favs from Napoli.)

  • *****

Visited for the first time today and it exceeded our expectations! Started with the eggplant parm app which was cooked perfectly and sooo cheesy. Had the margherita and diavola pizzas. The pizza was light and had the perfect amount of chew to the crust. Look forward to returning to try other items as well! Staff was very friendly as well!

  • *****

I've actually been here a couple times now. Every time I've gotten takeout from here I've either had a restaurant.com gift certificate or one of their coupons from the mail. In any case, pretty solid Italian food. Some interesting Neapolitan style pizzas and side dishes. I've had the sausage, broccoli rabe, and white sauce pizza which was very good. I've had the aranchinos, the meatballs, and the cannoli. Overall I would say the meatballs are far and away the best value for a small plate and also satisfying as they aren't full of breadcrumbs, but rather you can taste the actual meat and there's not as much airiness as you would get from typical meatballs. There's also a generous amount of sauce with the meatballs so you can save it for dipping crust when you order a pizza, though that might not be the Italian way. You only get two aranchinos. Same with the cannoli. Honestly I haven't had the antipasto or salads as I feel if you go get Italian you might as well go full Italian and get something hearty and fattening.

They have some ball games on the screens sometimes and they do have a wood fire oven which you can see them use. The pizza gets that wood fire oven taste that you want when you choose this kind of pizza over typical Americanized pizza. Overall food is good, price a tad high, but they are peddling a premium product. Worth a visit with a coupon.

  • *****

Literally the best pizza I've had at any restaurant. Get the Italia, but ask for it with red sauce instead of white. The meatballs appetizer is so tasty. I've been coming here since they opened, and the ingredients and sauce are ridiculously fresh and delicious.

  • *****

WOW. I've been to Italy. This is great pizza. It's probably as close to Rome Pizza as you'll get in Vienna, VA. The staff is very kind and nice and I like the flavor of everything. I ordered a Diavola with extra buffalo mozzarella on mine and it was wonderful. I think the portions/prices are a little out of hand. I dropped a star because I think they should sell this stuff by the slice too. I guess the owners don't want it to become a sort of young hangout like Tony's Pizzas locations but I mean, they do make good stuff regardless of looking like a pizzeria restaurant.

So this is more of a date night then carry out or lunch for me due to the pricing/portion structure, but I think if you want great quality pizza and can afford it on the regular, it's a great addition to area.

  • *****

Absolutely great experience! And food....YUM!! I'm from NJ (the green part!) and come from a background of eating pizza, pizza, some vegies, pizza, and more pizza. I've been in the NOVA area for about 5 years and finally found a place to get great pizza and calzones! The pizza has that awesome wood oven taste to it. The calzone had the proper mix of cheeses; lots of places just throw some mozzarella inside and call it a calzone, not Crust, they do it right.

The service was top notch. I emailed the owner Bobby ahead of time and he ensured us a table for a big party. We had 8, my brother was in town and wanted pizza for his birthday dinner (topped off with a "birthday" cannoli). From the cashier, to the servers, to the behind the scenes staff...top notch.

I like how Crust is set up. You order and they deliver it to your table. This adds to the pizzeria feel of the East coast. They serve beer, wine, and other assorted non-alcohol drinks.

My son, Johnny, 8 years old, gave the pizza a solid 9 out of 10 (nothing beats Johnny's Pizzeria in Ocean City to him).

I recommend the gnocchi! A great prep for the meal. The margarita pizza has a good amount of mozzarella and tasty sauce. Save room for dessert!!!! CANNOLI!

I'll be back! My new local favorite for pizza.

PS: They have plenty of family style tables and room. Very clean!!

  • *****

First time I had pizza there, I was struck by how different the pizza was from anything else I'd had. In a sense, I wasn't getting "pizza". A family addiction grew. "Crust, or just regular pizza?" I ask my wife.
They don't just sell pizza. Everything they make is special and seems straight out of Italy, and is to be savored. Not cheap, but the food quality is that of a good zagat rated restaurant, not a pizza place.
The Italia is my favorite lunch pizza. The pizza special is devine for lunch or dinner.
They do have excellent regular pizza to satisfy the kids.
For many this is a jewel waiting to be found.

Fabulous local pizza joint, family friendly, true authentic old world taste.

A little pricey, but if you're in the neighborhood and looking for a tasty pizza or some small bites (meatballs & eggplant were delish), give them a try.

PLEASE READ THIS: I had a milestone SURPRISE birthday party for my husband last Saturday at Crust with 50 guests. It was a WONDERFUL party! First of all, Fred, Bobby and Tonino were incredible in helping me with the details and keeping me calm! The food was AMAZING!! We have been receiving compliment after compliment for the delicious food, service and hospitality! Everything was perfect and I wouldn't have changed a thing. My husband and I already knew how special Crust is, and now all of our friends and family know too! Thank you, Fred, Bobby, Tonino, and the entire staff, for helping to make an event we will remember forever! We love you guys!

  • *****

Very tasty pizza. It is on the pricier end of the spectrum. Would definitely go back.

  • *****

It was a real shocker for me to go to this pizzeria and see how truly authentic it is! They have a Pizzaiolo (pizza maker) from Naples, Italy , they use DOP San Marzano tomatoes, they are sanctioned by the group "Vero Pizzeria Napolitano" which requires periodic inspection by an inspector from VPN. But forget about their FANTASTIC AUTHENTIC PIZZA, other items on the menu and specials are amazing as well. I had a pasta with a genovese meat sauce that is very popular in Naples (I go there for about 8-10 weeks a year) that was off the charts. The salads are so fresh and delicious and the people there are the very nicest you will meet anywhere! I can't wait to return!

Another update on the best pizza restaurant...

Let me first start off by saying if you didn't order pizza this place is still an amazing restaurant, I STRUGGLE choosing between pizza and their other food!

Most of the time I go there I notice an Asian family; my Chinese parents in law say this is the best pizza and LOVE the Italia pizza, but with sauce. You really are getting authentic Italian and it's really nice that you can find it right here in the NOVA area that isn't snobby...like all Italian things it's pride, this food is something you should respect and the owners/chefs are proud of it.

They have by far the best arancini, it's so light and crisp that it falls apart so easily and it's so delicious with the sauce.

The crostini sampler is amazing, my wife says the salmon is so delicious while I devour the pine nuts and scallions.

Don't even get me started on the fried artichokes...by fried it's more like lightly breaded...it's amazing. At first bite I thought it could use some sauce, but the more I ate...the flavors just surge in and it's so enjoyable to eat.

The green beans salad is amazing, make sure to mix it around a bit...and as I said before...the best meatballs, full of flavor and moist!

I got the lunch special of the veal tortellini and my mother in law LOVED it...the lasagna is very thin, but...it's so good and you really appreciate it. I'm starting to question why I grew up with people cooking thick lasagna and hating it!

I haven't tried their salads, but see how easy it is just to list their menu and tell you how good it is without even talking about the pizza?!

I really don't understand the yelp reviews that don't understand this type of pizza...yelp is suppose to inform you... I care about the flavor of each slice! Half of an olive is plenty of flavor for a slice of pizza...maybe you can go enjoy a NY slice of pizza where they make the slice black with olives and it's disgusting! Fresh ingredients are always flavorful and go a long way...

Serious talk...if I was going to die tomorrow...I would ask for a slice of Montonara pizza with meatballs, olives, and eat it while revving an Alfa Romeo 33 Stradale!

Wow! What a nice find. I ordered pick-up and had the 12" margherita, and I absolutely destroyed it. I'm visiting from Brooklyn and have a coal-oven pizzeria on my block, and this gave them a run for their money.

Unsolicited suggestion -- wait til the pizza is cooked to top with fresh basil.

I love it here! I'm really rooting for this business to succeed! The pizza is so amazing and fresh my favorite is the eggplant Parma pizza do yourself a favor and get it now so good. The restaurant is clean and amazing and the staff are friendly and nice. A must go to!

Just putting it out there... Crust is the BEST pizza in NOVA.. you hear me? THE BEST. Naples meets Tysons Corner. Finally a place that throws down true neo pizza! Also cold beer on tap and a good selection of wine. Solid lunch specials and the Caprese salad is to die for TBH. Crust is a hidden gem amongst all the resturants in tysons.

  • *****

This place definitely lives up to its name. The crust and the dough is something that really sets them apart. I actually loved eating the left over crust part the next day! The portion is big enough to share with another person or simply to be enjoyed cold later. I'll definitely be back the next time I'm craving pizza and try their happy hour time!

Crust is my absolute favorite pizza in the DC area! For a long time the best place was this place in Georgetown but Crust beats the Italian Georgetown restaurants. It tastes like real fresh pizza from Italy. Now my husband and I can't even eat pizza from any other place! It's fresh and isnt greasy at all. My only advice is if you call to pick up call while you're on the way so the pizza is hot by the time you get home. The people are very nice, the pizza is amazing! I love Crust I insist on only getting pizza from there.

We have lived in Italy for over 6 years and Crust Pizzeria brought us home to bella napoli !!

We started with a few glasses of vino, of course, the montepulciano and primitivo - both were excellent! In typical Italian fashion, Fred, the owner would not allow us to drink without eating a lil something, so he brought out a buffalo mozzarella plate, surrounded by sweet italian peppers and cherry tomatoes. The cheese was light, fluffy and tasty, with structure, but not all heavy, like many American mozzarella cheeses can be.

For dinner, we had pizza, of course: margherita (traditional cheese pizza), mellanzane (eggplant), diavola (spicy) and tomatoes and garlic. All of them were fantastic!

For dessert we had nutella pizza (if you haven't tried it, you need to!), tiramisu and cannoli - wow!! These desserts, all made in the house, did not disappoint!

If you're looking for an authentic italian "pizza vero" (true pizza) stop by CRUST and you won't be disappointed - it's a low-key, friendly place that feeds you fresh and treats you like family!

    Buon appetito!

  • *****

Always consistent and flavorful, but I would like to get a bigger size for the buck, and to have the pizza ALL covered, they are a bit shy with ingredients towards the edge. But I know it's still worth it. I am coming back, again and again. In sum 4.5 stars

  • *****

I lived in southern Italy for a couple years. These guys make a great pizza! I can see why they got their accreditation.

Word of warning, the diavola is actually pretty spicy. If you always like spicy things, this one is for you!

This pizza place is pretty awesome. First of all, let's talk atmosphere. The atmosphere of the place is casual, friendly, and inviting. It's one of those places you feel good about just walking in. You pay up front, and after you order, they bring your food and drinks to the table so it gives the illusion that you're at a casual restaurant.

Drinks? They have beer and whatnot on tap.

    Food? I think it's a pretty great price. You pay about $14 for a pie that's good enough for two people. The slices are pretty big, so if you go with people who eat like a bird then maybe a pie is good enough for four. It tastes pretty good though so if you're like me and wouldn't exactly want to share.. then yeah, two sounds right. Or one. Totally could eat a whole pie by yourself if you're hungry enough ^.^;

My cousin ordered the bolognese the first time she came here. When we went together, there was a bolognese special that she thought was the pizza. Turns out, it was lasagna. We weren't disappointed though because that lasagna was DELICIOUS. It's better than the pizza. It took awhile to make, but we couldn't complain because it was So. Worth. The. Wait. It was great.

In general, this place just rules. It's like eating authentic Italian pizza.

Our neighbor told us about Crust so we tried it for a late lunch.

The place is very clean and nicely decorated. We placed our order with a person we later discovered was the owner. While we were deciding on the menu items, the owner was kind enough to show us photos of the items we were interested.

We decided on a fried stuffed risotto ball and a combo pizza & calzone.

The pizza was absolutely delicious and very unique how it was served. The stuffed risotto ball was very good too and we loved the tomato sauce.

We definitely we will be back to Crust.

nice pizza's with great flavor, still too much crust for me.

Wood-fired pizza, different from most of your chains around here. Worth a try!

Great pizza and cool place to watch a football game. Good for group and for families.

  • *****

Great pizza - wonderful options and they truly know what makes a great pizza. Nice folks too. Decor is fast food type and parking can be tight.

  • *****

Quick service, very flavorful sauce, and thin but soft crust, though I personally like a slightly thicker crust it's still very good. Been here multiple times and have yet to be disappointed.

  • *****

The pizza is fantastic. I just wish they had some more creative topping combinations.

  • *****

This place has great Italian food. I love the cannoli.

  • *****

I wouldn't say it is perfect, but it is close to it. The manager is cool and the service team and hostess are super friendly. The food tastes good and is delicious.

  • *****

One of the few wood oven fired pizzas in the area. It's very casual and a great pick for some authentic true Italian pizza.

Crust serves delicious pizza. We go to crust once to twice a week and they never fail to impress. They have other delicious dishes, I enjoyed their lasagna and pesto ravioli . My son loves their pizza. I enjoyed their special pizza And recommend Italia pizza because it has green arugula and you actually feel good eating it. The atmosphere is very nice, friendly staff and Fred and Bobby , the owners , are very friendly and make sure quality food is served every time. I definitely recommend this place for your next pizza craving and hats off to the chef!

  • *****

Great customer service, great ambiance, great music and most important great food. If you come here you have to try the meatballs.

  • *****

My expectations were modest because I found Crust via Goggling and assumed it was a standard strip mall pizza place. Happily, my assumption was wrong and my expectations were heartily exceeded.

I ordered a margarita pizza for take out and it was delicious. I'll definitely order from here again and highly recommend it to others.

    AUTHENTIC.ITALIAN.
This place is absolutely amazing! They imported their brick oven from Italy! The service was great, the place is clean, and the food is so fresh! I ordered a sandwich even though they specialize in pizza and I was not disappointed!

Note: this review is solely for pick-up. I have yet to dine in at this establishment.

I ordered from here this past Friday, as I was seriously craving a spicy pizza (they offer a Diavola pizza, which I was happy to discover on their website's menu!), and the whole process was great: from ordering via phone to picking up to enjoying the deliciousness upon returning home. The pizza was going to be done in as little as 15 minutes (and I called way before I was ready, thinking that the wait would be an hour or something ridiculous, due to the fact that it was the end of the work week), which is impressively fast. Parking here is a little tricky; the front few spots are split between the ABC store and Crust, as well as the hookah joint on the end (I believe it is called Levant). I was able to snag an ABC spot, which I didn't feel guilty about, since I knew I'd probably be in and out of there in just a few minutes.

The young lady who rang me up was pleasant; the place was reasonably packed for a Friday evening, with quite a few patrons dining in and others picking up. I was quite interested to see that they have beers on tap as well as a plethora of wine options. (Note to self: eat here soon so I can enjoy a beverage with my 'za!)

The total cost for the pizza was comparable to what one would pay at any other local spots, chains or independently owned; I want to say the total was just over $14.

I will definitely be frequenting Crust to continue my Friday night pizza tradition!

The food is really good as is the service. I got the capricciosa which contains olives, salami and artichokes on a neopolitan pizza. These are several of my favorite things together so ofcourse I'm going to like it. My coworker Rossinator got the pizza bolognese, which had meat sauce and shaved parmesean on a neopolitan pizza, his pizza was good too. I was expecting the parmesean to dominate the pizza but it didnt. My only issue with this place is that their pizzas are all 12" size which is a pretty heavy lunch. A smaller size for the lunch crowd would be appreciated.

After several visits (and takeouts), here is the review. As always, the rating is based on the taste of the food.

Crust's pizzas are definitely above average and should be considered a premium product in the ever growing and expanding Neapolitan pizza universe. The pizza dough (crust) is nice and chewy and other ingredients taste fresh as well.

As I consider myself a Neapolitan pizza fanatic (see other reviews), I am happy that Crust is in my immediate neighborhood. That said, for a Neapolitan pizza joint, Crust is very to extremely expensive. I am a strong believer that a regular Margherita pizza shouldn't cost more than $7.00 and this is where Crust loses me. Expect to spend $14.00 or more on a single pizza and that is if you aren't adding any extra toppings. This is the price level of 2 Amys, which is an institution and, in my opinion, is still superior to all other Neapolitan pizzerias in this area.

Crust pizzas do deserve a four star rating (but not five as there are better Neapolitan pizzas out there) but if I rated the value for money the rating would more likely be 2.5 stars. All said and done, I will be coming back to Crust since it is better than anything else in the area, but I would be there twice as often if the prices were more reasonable.

  • *****

Crust is so delicious. I had to post more about their pizzas. I live in walking distance and we love coming here. They have new pizzas and appetizers on their menu pretty regularly. I always get margarita because it is my absolute favorite. My fianc loves the bolognese pizza. My mom is jealous every time I come here without her so rub it in by texting her pictures of me eating pizza and drinking wine. I'm a great daughter. Anyways, if you live in the area you probably receive coupons in the mail which is also a great reason to check them out.

  • *****

Delicious! Probably the best pizza we've had in the DC area. Authentic Neapolitan pizza in a simple, casual space. Order at the counter and wait to be served. Four handles and several wines. We will be back!

  • *****

So happy to have found this amazing neighborhood pizzeria with great classics and great service. The dough was soft and fluffy and the sauce was full of flavor. Everything was fresh, fresh, fresh. Can't wait to come back for more.

  • *****

My wife and I loved the gnocchi bolognese and Pizza ala "Crust". This a great place for oven baked pizza. We loved the setup of the restaurant and the staff were great well.

  • *****

    YES, Yes, and yes.

I've now been to Crust at least six times. Good places are at a premium. Great places deliver quality with consistency. Crust sets the high mark. Typically a review would make comparisons to alternative places to describe the food and experience. In the case of Crust - there is no comparison. Completely forget about the national chains - and I'm hard pressed to reference some of the smaller or regional operations who served a dough bottom with a tomato sauce and a cheese & stuff tipping and stretch my imagination and compare. To call the others Pizza is an insult to Pizza as a cuisine.

I really like the partially fried and baked pizza. The slightly thicker crust and crisper bottom are to my liking. I've had several of their other offerings and combinations as well. As I mentioned before, consistency is a guarantee. Quality in food and service is top notch.

I was asked to look at Italian restaurants in Tysons. It was interesting at first look as we now have a Neapolitan pizza place right here in Tysons. I brought five others with me for lunch and the six of us tried 4 different pizzas and 2 salads. My co-worker just got back from Rome a month ago. Perfect judge as its been a while since I have tried Neapolitan pizza in NYC.

The four pizzas were just right. We had a
Margherita, a Marinara and four cheese as the veggie pizzas and an Italian with arugula and prosciutto as the meat pie. Along with those 4, we had a Caprese and a Burrata to share.

I am bringing another set of co-workers back tomorrow for lunch. This time we are going to try dessert as well. If the pizzas and salads are any indication, I bet the dessert will be epic! I will update my review once we try the sweets.

For right now, withholding the last star but praising the maestro behind the pizzas. Bravissimo chef! Oh and btw, my co-worker that was just in Italy was very impressed. He noticed the whole leg of prosciutto in the kitchen and said the pizza was just like what he had a month ago. He kept mentioning the prosciutto though. We trying the prosciutto again.

    Update:

I am back for my desserts. Thank you Bobby for the gorgeous Canolis and Tiramisu. Crust has my 5 star vote for sure! Come experience Neapolitan magic! My compliments to the chef and my gratitude to Bobby for the hospitality and beautiful desserts. I may have to come back. They say that three times the charm. Many many thanks and congratulations. I hope to come here for many years to come. Let's just put it this way, four of us ate three pies and a calzone but when Bobby brought out the desserts and I asked my three stuffed co-workers to try, not only did they try, we picked the plates clean. I felt so happy after lunch today! That's an experience worth writing about.

    Second Update:

If you ever eat at at place more than three or four times and you still love and miss the taste of the food:

You either don't care about how the food tastes or in my case as I love to eat and live to eat, the food is as good as it gets.

I would love to lie and keep Crust all to myself but I want and need Bobby and his partners to stay in business a long long time so I can get my VPN pizza fix.

Crust has become the place I bring visiting family and friends to. So proud that Crust is in our neck of the woods. Congrats and continued success Crust!

Best pizza I ever had!!! I had bruscetta's, a white "italia" pizza and tiramisu. It was like I was in Italy for a few moments! Also the bestttt pizza dough I everrrrr had. You have to try these pizza's (and also everything else is so fresh and tasty!!!) Great service, a beautiful restaurant and plenty parking spaces. I'm definitely coming back and recommend it to everybody!!!

  • *****

I ordered the crostini della nonna as an appetizer and the pizza alla "Crust". They were both amazing, very good dough and other fresh ingredients. As a desert I had the tiramisu and a zuppetta. Great service and the restaurant overall was clean and good looking. This is a must visit for DC!!!!

  • *****

Great Pizza. I went there with my spouse and we both loved the Pizza as well as the eggplant dish. My spouse is an Italian native and he told me this is one of the best Pizzas he has had outside Italy . The owners are very personable and attentive. I recommend this place to anyone who is a Pizza lover.

  • *****

Great service! Great pizza! We were an hour late for pickup so they made us a new one. It was worth the drive to finally find good pizza in this area! We are now loyal customers for life

  • *****

I came here with my dear friend and we stayed for 2 hours and never felt rushed. The staff was so welcoming and the chef is pure genius. Fine dining in a hip and casual setting. The food was pure amazing. I had the green bean salad and the appetizer of eggplant parmesan and my friend had ravioli and cheese pizza. We were both blown away by the taste of everything we ate. So much food! What a wonderful lunch we had. Looking forward to having leftovers. Can't wait to go back. Thank you very much.

I've been to this place several times. What I really like about this place is the fact that the owners are there all the time and they treat their customers in a way that you feel like your home. Not only they have great pizza but awesome salads as well. Very clean place and honestly the pizza that I had here was better than the ones I had in Italy. Hands down the best pizza in nova. I highly recommend this place.

  • *****

Had past by his place many times but tried it for a first time a few weeks ago. The pizza was absolutely delicious. Great crust, very tasty sauce and the flavors of a true authentic Italian pizza. Highly recommend this place.

  • *****

Simply Devine !!! This is not your average pizza place!! This place is a true taste of heaven!! I swear it's as good being in Rome without the distance!! Great service, clean and welcoming. It's a taste of home so glad we found this wonderful place!! Thank you!!!

  • *****

I was in town for the weekend and The Crust was across the street. The best decision for food choice all weekend. Pizza and the spinach salad was really delicious. I usually don't ask for recipes but I have got to know how to make that salad. It's the best. Food is really fresh.

  • *****

Wonderful addition to the neighborhood! The Tysons area is saturated with chain restaurants so it's nice to have one more local establishment to patron. I've been to Crust a few times now, pick-up only. Crust has become a regular addition to my rotation of local take out places.

Ambiance here is very appealing, clean, bright, modern, with a wink toward Italian or Italian- American movie stars/singers from the 50s/60s. And there are flat screen tvs! I could definitely see myself dining in - they have a great selection of wines, as well as beer on tap. The pizza oven is so cool, worth a visit just to see it in person.

I love the blistered, chewy pizza here! Crust offers typical Italian ingredients, very fresh. If you're looking for BBQ chicken pizza or some other nonsense - yeah, you won't find that here. This place is authentic.

My most recent visit to Crust was tonight, early Friday evening and I was pleased to see that a majority of the tables were filled with customers, families, and couples on a casual date night. I didn't mind waiting in line, because that was a nice indicator that Crust is here to stay.

  • *****

Great service, great pizza, great place!!!

  • *****

Overall the experience was excellent, and it is worth the trip. Yes, they do have beer on tap and a happy hour. Although I am not a fan of TVs, this would be a fun spot to watch a soccer match while eating excellent pizza in Vienna. There is plenty of parking behind the building.

  • *****

Fast service and amazing pies, park behind the store.

  • *****

Great pizza! They take their Napoleon style pizza seriously! Great service as well.

The rating area and kitchen looked spotless and the serving staff were quick to clean any messes - but allowed you to eat in peace as well.

We went for dinner and enjoyed the ambiance of this place. Nice tables, high ceilings and a nice vibe. Draft beer was fresh and cold!

Enjoyed the bruschetta fungi (see photo) as an appetizer. Delicious! Had the Margherita pizza and the crust was excellent. Reminded me of Naples pizza (see that review below).

Plenty of parking in the back of building. We will be back!

  • *****

Great pizza!! (and this is coming from an Italian from Rome :P )But you have to get the original Margherita one dudes and duedettes

My family is from the Naples area of Italy. I have traveled to Italy and Naples several times. A close friend owns a pizzeria in Salerno. I lived for much of my life in New York. And I have eaten pizza all over the US--including Chicago. So I think I have a decent background when it comes to different Pizza styles and quality. Crust may be, all around, the best pizzeria Napoletana in northern Virginia. The ingredients are fresh and of high quality, the pizzas are cooked perfectly in a wood fired oven, the prices reasonable and the service is outstanding. What more can you ask for.

I had been wanting to try this place since I read it had opened. However, I tend to avoid the Tyson's area, due to the congestion there. After a series of bad service experiences at Ciao is Centreville (great food but lousy service) I became even more eager to try Crust. An appointment in the Tyson's area finally provided the opportunity. Wow, was I impressed with the pizza!

I knew that pizza Napoletana is best served fresh from the oven, but my wife was not with me in Tysons, so I called to order the Margherita and the Diavola with spicy sopressata. Both were outstanding. The staff member who presented my order was concerned that the pizza's would get cold and explained exactly how I should best heat them up when I got home (5-7 minutes in a preheated oven, directly on the oven rack.). The pizza's were amazing. I think I may need to find more reasons to visit the Tysons area and Crust.

  • *****

So my co-worker found this place and we went out for lunch here this week. I just did a trip to Italy earlier this year so I was in search of those amazing pizza memories I had in Italy. I have to say...this place honestly brings me back those memories...the sauces, the dough and the cheeses. Everything is made to perfection. It is as good as it gets. We liked it so much we went back again the next day. We ordered salads and desserts. Boy oh boy, we were blown away. Caprese salad is out of the world, and honestly they have the best cannoli I have ever had. Not a place missed for any foodie!!

We went again for the second time and they did not disappoint! Rarely, is crust seasoned enough for me that I don't have to add salt. Loved the margharita and the veggie pizza. Service is so nice and happy hour has a great $3 off all pizzas. Can't wait to come a 3rd time!

  • *****

This place was perhaps a little too sophisticated and authentic for what I'm used to. I consider myself a pizza connoisseur but I wasn't ready for Neapolitan style apparently. The ingredients are fresh which is great but sadly, I wasn't too into it.

I love that the pizza is made in a wood burning stove and apparently by a chef straight from Naples! however; the taste just wasn't there for me. I'm used to a layer of shredded cheese not dollops of fresh mozzarella scattered throughout. This is a matter of my own ignorance however; I hadn't known what to expect. Without the shredded cheese as a binder the toppings just kind of slid all over the pie.
Again, this is my mistake though...they specialize in a certain style pizza and I think I'd just better stick to what I know; greasy Americanized slices (don't judge).
I let my mom try it and she loved it. I'd suggest for sophisticated or worldly palettes only....

Also a personal size pizza and drink will run you upwards of $15, so a little pricy but probably worth it if you're looking for authentic, Naples, Italy style pizza.

  • *****

Stopped by for an early dinner. Great service and a nice open space. They have their Italian pizza theme down to a point. The pizzas are thin crust with a little charring on the edges which is typical for that style. We got two pizzas -a Diablo with arugula as an extra topping AND a pesto pizza with chicken. The crust was very tasty and the toppings were great. I did feel that the pesto was a little salty but overall a great pizza place.

I was coming to Vienna but was hungry and stopped at Crust as I had heard great things about and decided to give it a try--SO happy I did! Arancini starters were excellent and then the pizza--awesome! As good as Pupatella and a nicer looking place on top! Definitely go here!

  • *****

i ordered through eat24 last week, and the pizza was delicious. seriously, sooo good. the crust was perfect: thin but still a bit chewy, which i love. the cheese, tomato.. both delicious. and i am always thrilled to find a place that offers artichoke as a topping. i'll be back for sure.

I am from Italy and will say that crust is the best pizza you will taste outside of italy. Crust is family owned, you will see the children of the pizzaiolo along with the nonna. The ingredients are clean and fresh, the bufala mozzarella to die for, and the tiramasu absolutely perfect. The workers are so friendly, and even though you don't have waiter, the staff is very attentive and will check on you throughout your meal. The above is based on 6 visits to crust and each one excellent! Grazie ragazzi!

  • *****

Been to all the best pizza places in the DC/VA area and Crust tops them all. The pizza is so authentic and delicious. The pizza chef is straight from Italy (just the way I like my pizza chefs). The vibe inside is great and all of the staff are really friendly and helpful, especially Matt! My favorite restaurant and it's not even close...

  • *****

Don't let the unassuming location fool you. This is absolutely fantastic pizza! The ingredients are fresh and bursting with flavor, but the crust is (not surprisingly) the best part. The wood-fired oven imparts just the right amount of crispiness and charred taste to the crust, giving it an authentic Neapolitan flavor. This is likely the best pizza I've had in the metro area! Highly recommended!

  • *****

Hi everyone ,amazing food great service, thanks bobby

Amazing place! Extraordinary pizza...flavorful and authentic. Had the pizza alla "crust" and tiramisu for dessert. Highly recommend.

  • *****

Do yourself a favor and try this place! We have had 5 of the different signature pizzas now and they are all so unique and amazing. This is REAL pizza, not some of the other local chains. The flavors and absolutely top notch ingredients shine. The meats, cheeses and vegetables are absolutely as fresh as it gets. The bread is lightly charred for an unmatched taste. I'm blown away at how good this place is... HIGHLY recommended!

My favorite pizza place in Vienna. The quality of the ingredients is excellent. Besides the great selection of pizza, they also have wonderful salads and other special Italian dishes. The ambiance and staff are great and I was very happy with my food and the experience.

Thought I would check this place out after reading some good reviews. I am of Italian descent and know very good Pizza. Fred { owner} is a great guy and we spoke in depth about REAL Italian Pizza and the difference in what people think is Italian Pizza. It is all in the ingredients ! and of course the oven. This place has it all,; fantastic fresh ingredients, great dough and the imported oven from Italy. Excellent Pizza. Must try it if you want authentic !!

This place is all about quality! I use the quattro formaggi (4 cheese pizza) as a litmus test for pizzerias and this place did not disappoint. The quality of the ingredients were outstanding and the flavors on the pizza were perfectly balanced. I did find that the fresh mozzarella still had a bit too much liquid because extra liquid came out when cutting with a fork and over time, the dough got a little soft in the middle. This isn't uncommon when using fresh mozzarella however, but something I did want to pass along to them.

The serving size was quite large and made it very competitively priced in my opinion. I could only eat half of the personal pizza. I did also appreciate the "happy hour" pricing (3.00 off any pizza from 3-6).

Oh, and I was absolutely shocked that I did not have to ask for any salt for the crust. This is a huge huge huge compliment to them. I am very particular about my food being well-seasoned and breads and crusts are some of the worst offenders for not being properly seasoned in restaurants. Well done chef, well done.

I don't know if you have tried Crust pizzeria yet but expect perhaps the most authentic pizza in town.... And don't forget to try their homemade desserts made by a real Italian chef.....

Finally made it here after a buddy recommended it. In short. Boom! Finally a true Italian restaurant. No frills, no spills just good food. You walk up and order your meal and it is out in minutes. Staff is super friendly and the food is Italian casual food with a very sophisticated twist. The spinach and fennel salad is truly amazing and the Margarita pizza is something to behold. What we are scared of is that the food might be too Italian for some folks but for those who like it as true to Italian as possible then look no further. We love this place! Congrats Crust on an affordable modern true Italian spot for us to enjoy.

I am so happy to finally get a terrific pizza in my neck of the woods. Awesome in every aspect! Fresh basil, yeasty crust -just like the North End of Boston . I will return soon.

By far one of the BEST pizzas I've ever had! This place is a must try. From the authentic pizzas to the cozy atmosphere to the friendly environment. I highly recommend it. I will be going there again!

I'm a NJ native but new to Tysons and I was pleased with my pizza. Very fresh ingredients and the establishment is clean. I'm going to ask for it well done next time so it's a bit crispier. I will be back!

My head said gym but my heart said margarita pizza!
All i have to say is this place is the best Napoletana pizzeria, tried different places to find decent margarita pizza but nothing compare to the margarita pizza this place makes.
best service friendly staff and spotless pizzeria i have visited in this area...
if your taste buds are used to thick rubbery pizza then i suggest you should not try Crust!
because not everyone has good taste.

If you like papa john's or Pizza Hut......DONOT go to Crust. If you like REAL pizza as they make it in Naples, go here......I lived for 3 years in Bella Napoli and this is as close to there as I can find here.....I love the "burnt" crust, the "soggy" middle and the "bland" tomato sauce. All that is how they were made in the pizzeria about a kilo from my home in farm lands around Naples. My favorite is the Margherita pizza with Italian sausage, eggplant and mushrooms. Also, if you have not tried either of the gnocchi they have as small plates, you are missing a real treat....

About the staff....best part of Naples was the WONDERFUL people we met while trying to share their culture. The owners are friendly to a fault. I made some pancetta, brought a portion to share with them (as I would have done in Licola) where I actually lived...To my delight, they sliced some of it and made my family a special pizza (at no cost).....we have shared hints for making salami, which I have started to do and just have treated us as family.

About cost.....find a good bottle of red wine anywhere for less than $30 and I'll by a case....their most expensive is only $32.

Wife and I go there once a week for our pizza fix, and will keep doing it.

Fabulous authentic Neapolitan pizza. Just like what I had in Naples. Been there 4 times so far, our go to pizzeria. Many specials are excellent and always get a side of "polpetine"meatballs. The burrata platter is also a favorite.

I can't believe I waited so long to try Crust. I brought a group with me last night. We have all lived in Naples and every one of us was impressed. I felt like I was back.My pizza had melanzane and parmigiana which was delightful.

The location was great, and parking was easy. I didn't even have to pay a Euro for some vigilante to watch my car.

    We will definitely be back.

    Complimenti!

This pizza joint is fabulous!! Made to order pizzas in ten minutes!! For lunch when you order a pizza you get a free drink!! My all-time favorite pizza is the prosciutto, potato and cheese pizza! Delicious!!

This place is my favorite pizza place in northern Virginia. Forget Pupatella and their long lines, this place is just as good if not better. I've tried a few of their different pizza types and I love them. Fresh ingredients, not too light or tough baked crust, and just the right amount of heat from the oven that bakes the cheese and toppings perfectly. In addition, there is the Crust pizza which is a half margherita pizza and half ham calzone. The calzone has a good mixture of cheese and ham so that neither overpowers the calzone. And there's an arugula salad that comes with the dish that compliments the both the calzone and pizza nicely. I typically it add to the pizza and eat it as a stand alone dish. The service here is also super fast. I typically can crank out a pizza in 5 to 7 minutes after ordering it even during high traffic times.

Finally an awesome Neapolitan pizza here in Vienna. We ordered the Margaritta with sausage and another Margaritta with eggplant. Both are delicious.

  • *****

I have ate here several times since it opened. Usually I get the vegetable, which is somewhat decent. Last week they had a special with flat bread crust and several options for toppings. It was GREAT! Just the right size for lunchtime and still had the great tasting sauce that I have become accustom to on their pizza's. In general ,my only complaint is the size of the pizza's. They are too big for a lunchtime option. I usually eat 2 slices and save the other half for another day. I would prefer to order pizza by the slice for lunchtime meals, or have a smaller option. Overall my experience has been great!

Forget about Washingtonian magazine's favorite (wood oven) Neapolitan pizza restaurants Pupatella (Arlington, VA) and Pizza Orzo (Falls Church, VA). Both those places can't hold a candle to Crust. Crust has the best genuine Neapolitan pizza in the area. The chef is from Italy and he makes a mighty fine pizza. The owner (Fred) is very nice and very friendly (and is usually working behind the counter) and he knows how to provide great customer service.

My two favorite pizzas are the Margherita Classica and the Capricciosa. The tiramisu and dark chocolate mousse are my two favorite deserts.

My prediction is once the word gets around about Crust, it will be listed as the #1 Neopolitian pizza in Washingtonian magazine.

Can't go wrong with this place.

  • *****

My husband did takeout and it was pretty good. Loved how the crust is wood fired and crispy, a little blacked..just the way I love it! Will be back to try more!

  • *****

My neighbors who lived in Italy 2 or 3 years, highly recommended Crust, so I gave it a try one recent afternoon. I ordered my favorite, the Margarita (thin crust). Incredibly delicious! Quality ingredients from Italy are used -- San Marzano tomatoes, 00 flour, EVO and fresh basil. The magic is their wood burning oven that takes 9 minutes. I "discovered" Margarita pizza during my first (of 3) trips to Italy. This was every bit as good, sometimes better, than what I had there. Great staff. Italian chef and owner -- that says it all.
Crust is the perfect name for this enjoyable restaurant. Can't wait to return.

  • *****

Surprisingly good. This place has entered into my top 3 for Pizza within the Virginia/DC area.

Crust was nice and airy, Pizza sauce wasn't overly salty. Very will balanced. I also like the informal setup where you order at the register and they bring the food over to your table when it's ready. Not sure if Dinner works the same way.

The gnocci with meat sauce was also excellent.

I'll be back again to try some of the other pizza varieties.

  • *****

This place is my favorite pizza place in this area. It is probably more expensive than regular pizza but absolutely worth it. They have true Neapolitan pizza. I usually get Margherita pizza and add toppings I like. For sure add fresh mozzarella! They don't deliver but you can get it by bitesquad.com .

  • *****

My husband & son are obsessed with this place. The pizza is on point! After having traveled to Napoli, my pizza standards completely changed. This local spot actually imports most of their ingredients from Italy so you can be sure it's authentic Neapolitan pizza. The best part is that they use fresh buffalo mozzarella & thin oven crust. The recipes & quality are those of a true Master Pizzaiolo.

  • *****

I am not a huge pizza fan when it comes to American styled pizza...but I love a wood-fired oven pizza, and Crust has given me a passion for quality Neapolitan pizza.

The restaurant itself is very open, spacious, and trendy...but still down to earth and laid back in feel. The staff is jovial and very friendly/helpful. The menu ranges from basic pizza to lesser known Neapolitan styles eats.

Pizza phenomenal in quality and the sauce is perfectly balanced in sweet and tang and salt. The seafood salad and arancino are on point! Well worth the very affordable cost. The wine and beer is also delicious with much of it sourced from Italy.

  • *****

I had a huge pizza craving and I LOVE Neapolitan pizza, it's by far the best style of pizza!

I ordered the margherita and the marinara; both were perfect! Yes, the tips of the pizza were soggy, but that's typical of Neapolitan pizza, just fold it and devour until you get to that delicious chewy charred crust. The marinara pizza with cheese tastes amazing due to the thinly sliced garlic and oregano, while the margherita really lets the sauce shine.

I really love their sauce, it has an amazing sweet taste with delicious pieces of tomatoes! Each time the sauce would squeeze out my wife and I would scramble to eat it off of our fingers.

My wife never cares for pizza, but once she had a bite she said how delicious it was and ended up eating two slices of MY pizza!!!

It is a bit pricey, but it's the typical rate. I think one pizza is plenty for two people...four slices seems like overkill for one person and you kind of lose the appreciation for the flavors.

My only complaint is that I don't like the website menu, but that's just me nit picking. They don't have a canoli on the online menu, but they do have it and it's really good, I wish mine would have came with the berries like in the yelp pictures!

I don't understand the negative reviews...do we not live in the internet age where we can easily find out exactly what to expect from a napoletana pizza, do people not look at the yelp pictures??? If a napoletana pizza isn't for you, why would you go to a place that specializes in it?!

  • *****

The pizza here is pretty good! Crust offers thinner pizzas, and there is a decent variety of vegetarian and meat options. There are also some appetizers and desserts available. When you walk in, you'll see several tables for individual parties as well as a communal table. There are a few TVs on the wall to watch the news or sports, and there are sweet portraits of famous Italians. You walk toward the back to the counter and order there. The people working here are nice and friendly! You can look at the menu at the counter as well as specials for the day.

I like the margherita and the bruschetta. The bruschetta has awesome tomatoes on top. The pizzas, every time I've had them, were cooked well and super filling. I've even had a slice or two to take home; they do keep pretty well to the next day for snacking.

Overall, the place is large and clean. You can sit and relax for a while, eat some pizza, and get a drink. I've tried the tiramisu - I'd say it's a pass because it was too powdery on top with cocoa powder. It was hard to eat.

I see some people's reviews mention the pizza is pricey. If you're coming for lunch, spending $15 may be high for some, but I think the area makes the cost alright. On the other hand, if you come for dinner, $15 may seem cheap. They also have happy hour!

I was also surprised to see panuozzo on the menu. That's a traditional Italian dish, but it is HUGE. I also thought it should have been called panzerotti instead - panuozzo are more like a sandwich, whereas panzerotti are basically calzones but fried.

Bottom line: if you're in the mood for simple and traditional Italian favorites, this is a good pizza place to try out. It's casual, and you're bound to find something to enjoy!

  • *****

Great pizza! Try the margherita. I work nearby and it's a perfect lunch spot because the pies don't stay long in the oven.

We went there Tuesday for dinner and had a fantastic meal and great service. They have a great 3-6 pm happy hour special on pizzas and drinks. Pizza is very authentic - our favorite was the veggie. Super family friendly but amazing food!

This was seriously the best pizza I ever had. The crust was perfect, the sauce was amazing, and the ingredients were incredible! We ended up getting dessert because we're from out of town and wanted to order as much as we could. And Oh. My. God. The dessert was just as amazing as the pizza! I'm sad that I live two hours away from this place because I would eat here all the time.

  • *****

Delicious, authentic Neapolitan pizza. The best I've had since traveling in Campania, Italy. I'm looking forward to returning and trying everything on the menu, but the Quattro Formaggi and the Italia are so good I might just keep ordering those!

I found these guys whenever I was at the Sheraton for the weekend for a convention. I didn't have a lot of time and was absolutely starving! So of course he shows me your normal cardboard pizza places and that just wasn't good enough. So whenever I saw this i was like Yum so I give them a call and they tell me that pizza can be ready in 3 to 5 minutes!

I got the margherita and the Quattro Formaggi with garlic, onions and meatballs all I can say is it the entire time I was driving back to the hotel my mouth was watering LOL! The crust was absolutely phenomenal had that nice break I've been lacking flavor but it's not Bert, it cooks nice and fast and it's crispy but it still soft inside and it just melts in your mouth and the cheese is so soft stringy and gooey and just makes you feel like you're in heaven! When actually you should be in the gym haha! My only complaint is that there quite a bit far for me living in Springfield but if I'm ever at the mall doing any binge shopping which I never do wink wink I can see myself driving that on my way home for the family!

    LOVE IT!!!

Perfect dinner stop on our drive around the beltway. Delicious, fast, relaxing.

We wanted pizza and this place just caught my eye in the yelp 10 best pizza places list. So glad I went with my instincts!

Right off the beltway, it was so convenient, and service was fast and friendly. We ordered one of the pizzas with a name, and then a design your own.

Both were fresh and tasty with a lovely crust. We were filled up without feeling heavy. Two was enough for two adults and a child. If our teenage son had been along we would have needed three. We'll be back next time we pass through!

Really authentic Italian pizzeria , trust me on this I'm Italian! Delicious pizza, appetizer and pasta !
And the pizzaiolo Tonino Topolino,is really from Napoli !
Matt our server was fantastic ,definitely going back !

Phenomenal pizza and staff! We have lived around the world and this is the best pizza in town and then some. Fresh and authentic. One taste and your hooked. Everything else pales in comparison. We are frequent customers who keep coming back for more.

I love, love, love, LOVE, this place! Crust is the only place nearby that makes authentic Neapolitan pizza. Anyone complaining about the taste of the pizza must be used to American/New York style pizza, but there is no reason to rate this any less than 5 stars. I really like American pizza but being Italian (and from Naples), sometimes I want the Italian pizza I am used to with less sugar, real sauce, and real ingredients. The people there are always so incredibly friendly and I love that you can see Tonino making and baking the pizzas, in true Neapolitan style! Would definitely recommend this to anyone who wants to try a real taste of Italy.

Had a great experience. As ex New Yorkers it is hard to find a good pizza joint. This place outdid itself.

This place is amazing. Burrata, panzanella salad, & the artichoke hearts I would slap my momma right in the mouth for.

Now this is my favorite place for pizza . They hosted my birthday there last night which was a perfect time for a casual celebration. It's a cool clean place and Neopolitan pizza and other food is good high quality with a decent selection of wine and beer. It's just plane good basic food with friendly staff and ownership. Very happy they are near my wife's office

Good pizza could definitely improve the service. Also please add an Italian coffee machine to be authentic. Nespresso is not! We ordered 2 pizzas. Pizza marinara and chicken pesto. The decor is simple and nice. We went on a weeknight so was pretty quite.

I went there with my wife and kid. Great customer service. Goof food!! Will go again.

The best pizza in a 15 mile radius around tysons. You can find better Napoli pizza, but you're gonna travel, and you're gonna wait. Enjoy this great option in our own neighborhood!!

Three years ago we lived for several months in Italy, and developed a taste for real pizza, especially Neapolitan pizza. It's such a treat find the real thing here in the Tyson's area: the chef is himself from Naples, he uses the proper 00 flour and San Marzano tomatoes, and makes a right tasty pizza! We will be regulars here - Auguri!

My boyfriend and I moved to the Fairfax area in 2015 and we've both been disappointed with the lack of good pizza in the area. So we found Crust and decided to give it a try. The pizza margherita was great: The sauce was sweet, the mozz was creamy and fresh, and the crust was excellent. We were still hungry after the first pizza so we also ordered the quattro formaggi, which was also good and had an interesting smoky flavor (the fontina?) and was more filling than the margherita. We tried the bruschetta classica appetizer, and the ingredients were fresh and tasty, but it was served on one piece of toast as opposed to crostini so it was a little hard to share. The tiramisu was okay and hit the spot for dessert but wasn't anything to write home about.

Service was pretty good and we were checked on several times, which was nice for a restaurant where you order at the counter. The owner/manager (I think) was present on the floor and checked on most of the patrons. The decor is modern and the restaurant itself was extremely clean.

We'll definitely eat here again. It did seem a bit pricey for the amount of food we got (2 pizzas plus an appetizer, dessert, and drinks ran us about $50) but it's definitely worth the splurge when you're in the mood for good pizza.

Genuine Italian Wood Fire Oven Pizza, made by Italian Chef ... mmmmma ... Bueno ...

  • *****

It's just astonishing pizza! The pizza had that touch of major satisfaction. It isn't like chain pizza or local joints who fail at making pizza. Crust is an amazing pizzeria that is great for a family or just you by yourself. The restaurant had great atmosphere, nice workers, and pizza that tastes better than when I was in Milan!!

  • *****

If you have lived in Napoli Italia.....no pizza surpasses the thorough enjoyment, flavor and wonder of that experience. My family cried with joy when after 3 years being away from Italy, they finally smelled and tasted a true Nepolitano pizza at CRUST! 4 pizzas every Friday!Fantastico!!!!Geno of Pozzuoli!

  • *****

Truly Amazing Pizza! If you're looking for true Neapolitan pizza then Crust is the way to go. The ingredients they use make all the difference. The restaurant is spacious and a nice environment to bring the family. Being able to watch your pizza cook is also a nice touch. If you're looking for pizza that tastes just like it would in Naples then you have to try Crust.

Great authentic pizza!! Oven imported from Naples. Hidden gem surprised in tysons best in VA

Spent last weekend watching the playoffs their... Indulged on their beer/wine and fantastic pizza... True Neapolitan pizza made in wood burning oven! I would say much better than 2 Amy's in DC and don't forget their deserts, they are out of this world.

  • *****

My wife ordered three pies for dinner on a whim on their opening day. We were still talking about how good they were the next day. The crust is perfectly done Neapolitan style: big yeasty taste, good crust outside with the right amount of char, but still stretchy and chewy inside. If you've tried to make good homemade Neapolitan pizza you know how much trial and error it takes to get the crust formula just right - and they clearly put in the work. The sauce zings but doesn't drown everything out. And a 3 pie order took less than 10 minutes. Bottom line: As good as Neapolitan gets in this area - easily the equal of Two Amys.

  • *****

I tried the pizza here as soon as the establishment opened up for business. Inside it's spacious with plenty of seating. There is very limited parking in front, but plenty of parking behind the building. As the name suggests the eats are more consistent with Neapolitan-style pizza that one might be familiar with.

The pizzas are offered in a variety of ways with standard toppings, but I always ask for a pizza margherita with pepperoni, sausage and basil. While the sauce and toppings stand on their own, it's the crust that makes this pizza rather outstanding. I think the owner might be Persian and so perhaps the crust is influenced by his heritage. The crust reminds me of the bread you might encounter in a kabobs establishment. The pizzas come in one size and might be shared by two people, but I'm usually ravenous by the time I get there so I have one all to myself!

I've read other Yelpers complain about price, but I find good value for the money here since they started including a free bottle of soda with each pizza. It's conveniently located near my office so I try to frequent as much as I can. I've had team luncheons there and everyone has had positive comments about the pizza. The staff are very friendly and service is really efficient with pizzas on your table within 10 minutes of ordering. I wish they would open a location near my digs, but until then I'll keep visiting this location.

  • *****

Pizza is AMAZING!!! We had the margarita pizza and an appetizer of meatballs. The sauce is delicious! Very authentic! The atmosphere is very clean and modern. Very large farmhouse tables to fit 10-12 people easily. Would recommend this place to anyone for traditional brick oven Italian pizza!

Crust has the best pizza around here. It's a nice gem in Vienna tucked away between downtown Vienna and Tyson's Corner. The pizza crust texture and taste is divine, nothing like I've ever had before, and they are cooked in a wood fire oven. The tomato sauce is just right, not over salted. You can tell that they use the freshest ingredients for their toppings. No shredded mozzarella here! You get the fresh motz sliced in nice chunks on top of the pizza. It does take them awhile to make the pizzas, but it's not so long, and it's worth the wait. Just imagine that each pizza is carefully crafted to get the best texture and flavors. I was with family and we ordered: calzone, veg, margherita, and diavolo. We loved all of them. I will say it again, the ingredients are so FRESH! Oh, and we split the tiramisu dessert. Definitely, homemade and not frozen. YUM!!!!!!

I would recommend asking them to cut the pizza into 8 slices. They are a decent size pie and they come out cut into quarters. The slice was so big! Especially when we were sharing. That's the only thing I would suggest (only if you're sharing with a group, if not, just eat the whole thing, because you definitely will).

The serving style here is you order and pay at the counter and they bring the pizzas to your table. They did us great service. (Also, if you're stupid enough to tip before receiving service that's your own fault. Just saying!) They brought the pizzas, even filled our drinks a few times. We tipped cash before leaving.

A nice gentleman came by our table (I think he's the owner) and asked what we thought about the pizza. He was incredibly kind and of course we told him we loved it and would certainly come back!

If you're in the Tyson's area, Crust is a must try!

  • *****

Coming off the heals of my naples pizza experience, I was scared to try this place. But, just because I was having an eat, pray, love moment, I decided to give Crust a try. I'm so happy I stopped. The pizza is likely as close as I'll ever get to my naples Margherita! It was yummy! They are almost there with the perfect Napoli crust! Sevice was great too! I'm almost certain to return... the only issue is that it's pretty expensive. But, I won't let that get in the way of my next escape to Napoli! Give it a chance if you're in tysons.

  • *****

Welcome to the neighborhood! What a pleasant find. I ordered a marguerite and a veggie pizza along w a caprese salad. Yum yum yum. My son enjoyed it as well and he is picky. I cannot wait to try the whole menu. Looks amazing.

  • *****

I was actually the first person to eat here by complete accident. It was their grand opening day and I had no idea, so when I walked into this new restaurant at 11:15am that day and asked "When did this place open?", I was surprised to hear them say "Today!"

But anyway, nobody else cares about my life.

The important thing is that the pizza here is absolutely delicious. Maybe the best I've ever had, including when I was in Italy this summer. The pizza chefs were brought straight over from Naples and barely speak English, so you know they make some authentic stuff.

I haven't tried the other foods or desserts, but I've tried about seven different flavors of pizza here, and they were all flawless. As an additional benefit, each pizza only takes a minute or two to make using their enormous oven.

    Highly recommended.

  • *****

I can't complain about the food. The pizzas were exactly what I'd expect from a neapolitan-style pie; soft and doughy crust and fresh toppings. The arancino zafferano con raju was cooked just right. The tomato sauce was very flavorful and the risotto balls were just the right texture with a good taste. This was my first time trying neapolitan pizza, so I can't speak to the authenticity.

Pricing was kind of high. They don't have a soda fountain, and $2.75 for a 20oz bottle of soda is highway robbery. The menu doesn't have a list of toppings, and when I subbed one vegetable for another (so no actual addition of toppings), I got charged $1 extra.

So my best friend/roommate is from Venice, Italy. We are always looking for good pizza which is hard to find. She told me she met some Southern Italian guys who work at a pizzeria and we should go. Turns out it is this place! Of which I have had my eye on for a while. Crust is literally a mile from where me and her moved to. I was tad hesitant because there are some bad reviews here but the people writing those reviews sounded like they didn't know anything about pizza. I have no idea why there is even one bad review. This place is so delicious!!!! We went today and had a margarita, Italia, croquettes, and tiramisu. People say it is expensive, it isn't! Okay maybe compared to Papa Johns but seriously really??? Go eat papa johns and more Crust for me. I can't wait to bring more people here! My Italian friend obviously loved it here so there you have it, not New York Italian which isn't the same thing FYI! If they serve Alfredo it isn't Italian....eat at crust and learn a few things about Italy!

Some seriously good Neapolitan pizza (: 10/10 would recommend!

Came in with my dad the other day, and we shared a pizza Margherita -- pizza made with tomatoes, mozzarella cheese, basil, and olive oil. The dough of the pizza was just right -- soft and tender and not too chewy. All the ingredients tasted extremely fresh and made the pizza really flavorful. I liked how the pizza didn't taste or get soggy, which I encountered with a few other Neapolitan pizza's at other restaurants. The pizza was warm, delectable, and just enough to share for two, and we also ordered tiramisu for dessert. Their desserts are homemade as well -- and the tiramisu was very light and tasty.

Overall, the staff was extremely nice and accommodating, and the pizza was delicious! Definitely will be back to try their other pizzas!

Delicious. Surprisingly good thin crust Neapolitan pizza. So hard to find in DC. I might put on the 10 pounds I just lost since this is so close to home. Compares favorably to spots like Martha and Motorino in NY

  • *****

The crust is perfect. I could just eat the crust all day. I don't even need toppings. I haven't had pizza this good in months and I'm not even a fan of Neapolitan pizza.

If you like pizza and you're in the Tysons area you gotta try it. Worse case, you don't like you go to Alborz next door and get some delicious Persian kabob. Win-win.

I should also mention the Nutella pizza which will give you diabetes but it's a great dessert to share with a party of +4.

5 stars for pizza and service.

Pizza was delicious with good texture and flavor. The calzone was undercooked and cool on the inside, but the manager checked in with us shortly after the food was provided and offered to correct it. Calzones can be tough to time, so I won't hold that against them. Unfortunately, we were in a bit of a rush, so instead he was kind enough to provide us some cannoli, which were excellent.

Also, the cappuccino was fluffy and delicious.

It's always great seeing another neapolitan place near DC, especially clustered around Tysons Corner where we're starting to (finally) see more indie food spots. I had the Quattro Formaggi, which is something I almost always order at any pizza place just to have a consistent standard for comparison.

The pizza pricing was on par with neighboring(ish) Pazzo Pomodoro, but without the sit-down service, which means Crust caters to a slightly different and arguably much more casual crowd.

The cheeses were all fresh, and the decor was simple and understated. Service was prompt... I honestly have no complaints about any of it. I was about to dock a star for not having a fountain, but apparently Crust's policy is to give a free bottled soda with any pizza ordered, so I can't really complain about that either.

    Five stars for food.
